No Tresarrieu, grass tracking again. Nathan Grieves steps in. Simon Lambert to score a maximum and an 8-10 point loss

Why do we as a sport tolerate this nonsense ?

Team speedway in this country is dying a death by a thousand cuts.

And why does grass tracking come before speedway..... Always??

Peter Waite used to get criticised a lot , but he would never have put up with that

Weather doesn't look good but here's hoping!!

Would like to think we are good enough to come away with a win from Rye but our record here is not great, never seem to do well on small/technical tracks but, with Rye being a bit down lately you've got to take these sorts of chances and capitalise on other's misfortune? We desperately need to start catching up on our PL fixtures as we seem to be well behind everyone else and further rain offs are not really an option for us at this time, some good away points are needed this weekend to boost the pot? :t:

All things being equal and it's a goer, I will hope for a small win for the Comets and go 43-47. ;)

Rye House have a habit of early call offs. Clever money is on 9.30-10.00

This’ll be another early call off, with the pub winning the day. Fixture problems are becoming evident once again and especially as this is another Saturday night track, so either expect a double header with Redcar on the 30th July or another Wednesday night at Hoddesdon.

Although looking at the BBC forecast for Saturday, the mighty never wrong Stummo may be wrong in his predication.

The decisions to call of some of this year’s fixtures at Rye have been to say the least questionable. Last Saturday was a rather nice day I seem to recall, as have some of the other cancelled matches, where Stummo ends up supping a few beers down my local. People get out of the habit of going and don’t basically come back, which is a shame, but as I’ve stated many times Rye House is dead of any real atmosphere, food, beer, presentation etc.

So my prediction for Saturday night is a few pints of Spitfire or similar ale whether Rye is on or off…..happy days

Probably because the riders lively hood is more imprtant to him than British Speedway? Silver would have known the dates Tres would be away when he signed him but i suspect he or his sidekick Mr Motivator Sampford didn't realise the rules for a replacement.

Riding on the continent as a well respected Grass / Longtrack rider he will be reasonably well paid, far more than at Rye House

Only ones to blame in this instance is the club

What riles me more is the fact that we have had to use a NL replacement for Stefan Nielsen when he has been riding in the EL. The EL is falling apart about time the BSPA realised that and went back to one big league and a stand alone NL. Much better products

Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see a few points from Simon Lambert meaning the difference between a win or a loss

Just how many points have been scored by Stefan Nielsen or his replacements since Simon left ?

With Tres riding i think a Rye win without who knows, never a happy hunting ground for the Comets. All being equal looks like a rainoff and maybe a trip to Eastbourne v KL

Weather looking naff in morning but sun to break thru around 4pm leaving a pleasant night , hopefully !! These rain offs are killing the season , 1 away league match and it's bloody July 😡😡 end of season gona be pretty congested just in time for weather turning again !!

That's not quite correct, they're not actually rain offs, they're predicted rain offs, or convenient rain offs.
