screm
Â Â All of this incorporated with that important hour before the meeting and the three hours after the meeting, where all the real fans meet in The B&G. Â Oh no I`m not a true fan......oh well.
screm
I think in fairness Bellego has been riding at 2 all season til recent and you always have Kus partnered with Doolan in several races. Worth thinking about though? Â Fair point, if this is the way the promotion choose to go then fair do`s, my reasoning is this. Bellego & Vissing have been our best two riders this season, so I would be putting them at No`s 1 & 5, no other PL team have their best two riders in the 1 and 2 positions. Also, as one of our top riders, in this team Bellego`s programmed rides are all done by Ht10, invariably we then ask him to come out in Ht15, by then track conditions might've changed.

Catch Me If You Can
I am sure Heppy will do OK on Saturday, he is cedrtainly on a learning curve, but I will give him is due, he is willing to learn and change, that has to be a bonus. An awful lot of folks are keen to put your club down given every chance. You should see the fiasco we had at Coventry midweek at King's Lynn! There can only be 8 or 9 teams at the two top leagues with Managers as former riders?

Got to agree, my thought on a rider as a manager, is more about giving riders advice on set ups, but then would they no the rule book in the way say Ian Thomas new it. i doubt the real deal is out there, but one but hope. screm
Okish forecast for tomorrow, it will be a mostly dry day with one or two showers about. If we`re luck we might get away with those, what ever comes at us from above I hope there will be plenty of people there to see this, and fans will heed the rallying call from the promotion earlier in the week. Â As I posted this is a must win meeting for Berwick, happily I think this will happen, though I said that before last weeks visit of Peterborough and look what happened there. Erm is this not crescent girls job??.... Â Maybe we are one and the same.
DSC67
Personally I don't think that a team manager needs to be an ex rider , I may be wrong but I don't think that Davie Fairbairn , George English or the late Ian Thomas ever lifted their legs over a speedway bike in anger and they have all done a decent job as team manager IMHO
Bandit59
I personally dont think team managers should go round in Billy the bowser there are two people i know who used to drive the tractors maybe one of them could do that or at least organize when the tractors come out ie when a rider has two rides on the trot or after an accident the manager has better things to do IMO

DSC67
But a darts player is quite different to a speedway rider Yup , that's my point , you don't need to be an ex speedway rider or have any knowledge of speedway bikes to be a successful team manager

screm
Bugger, I've been sussed.......  Bugger we`ve been sussed. I thought Dave Peet was Team Manager at Saddlebow Road  Peet is team manager at Scunthorpe. Bit of a miserable start to this Saturday weather wise, gloomy grey clouds and light rain and right now it shows no sign of moving. Happily the forecast is better for later on with this rain clearing during the morning leaving a brighter drier afternoon.

It must be said like the rules the theory on set ups can be learnt. Imagine, if you had someone who knows the rulebook, set ups and is able to prepare a track aswell, WOW! what a manager. Â Lots of rain over night, should be good for the track by tonight, that is unless with the forecast being so accurate some silly b*gger toolk Billy out last night. BBSC
But a darts player is quite different to a speedway rider aye they make more money, do not have to spend a fortune om being competitive plus no silly rulebook.
screm
Weather a bit more promising than before, rain has gone, still the chance of an odd shower this afternoon but all set for this evening.
