Dekker
I'm sure the track curator will push the broken down tractor all the way there to fill in the "ant-hill" and the glasgow FB site will implode with the smugness

Al Stewart
One other thing today why did Glasgow not give the winning team a victory parade after the meeting? Poor show I think the Monarchs have established the habit of walking over to the fourth bend shed where many of their fans stand to geta picture taken. That's what happened today. I doubt there was any lack of sportsmanship.

tyretrax
Hard to criticise any Tigers today, but some need to get the finger out. Tractor breakdown.......at least Jimmy Beaton would have "broken down" for a reason.

Cj69
In some ways this is a great result for both teams. Edinburgh keep their unbeaten record and smugness intact. I seem to recall some Western Smugness in 2011 , albeit not near our level, looks like we win again Glasgow put on a great show and showed they should start dominating at home once Christian and Dimitre return. Once the real summer arrives mite pop through to see how their getting on. Well done both team
Gazc
Forgot to say well done to Anders Thomsen on actually completing a meeting I know crashing on the first bend and going under the air fence and injuring the same ankle you injured 2 weeks previously can be a real pain . Paulco
Ach that was good today , we gave the buggers a run for their money , at least it wasn't a slaughter . When we gated in heat 15 i thought we might have got a draw , but sadly not to be . You canny take it away from them , Edinburgh are a very good side and are head and shoulders above everybody else at the moment .
cyclone
Decent meeting which both sides can take positives out of. With Monarchs no longer able to utilise additional rides for Worrall as a reserve replacement, we will find it harder to continue this phenomenal unbeaten run. Quite naturally, most opposing fans are envious of our current success, and are keenly anticipating our first defeat. When this happens there will be rejoicing by the jealous, but we Monarchs fans will take comfort in supporting a team that has put together an unbeaten sequence that none of our opponents are ever likely to emulate in their lifetime

eide67
A good tense closely fought speedway meeting today - highly enjoyable. The hot sunny conditions meant the track wasn't as good as last week, but there was still plenty of close racing and passing from both sides. Edinburgh were never behind and didn't ever really look like losing, but when the Tigers gated in heat 15 a draw was on the cards. Step up a man who wasn't having the best of afternoons to make up a huge amount of ground and pass the meeting's top rider and clinch victory for the blue & gold - well done Cookie! Craig's missing points were covered by some sensational scoring by Sedgy & Steve. Paid 11 & 10 from 4 - away from home - is just fantastic from our early season reserves. Young Max continued his fine run of form and his heat 12 pass of Theo was the race of the meeting. Can't believe this mature, intelligent rider is just 18. Sam was steady but, like Cookie, was not making good starts. On the 2 occasions he made half-decent starts and burst into the lead, the races were stopped - unlucky. Derek was in the thick of it all afternoon and picked up important points, particularly winning heat 2 and fighting hard to stay in 3rd for a 4-2 in heat 12. Aaron started well in heat 2 but could not withstand a hard second bend challenge and went to the back and didn't really get into the meeting after that. For Glasgow Rusty Harrison was magnificent with some great outside passes (someone should tell him though, when he wins a race - particularly from the back - he should go round and take the plaudits from the fans. The fans are desperate to get involved and show their appreciation when they've just seen a great ride and if they get up for it and create a great atmosphere it surely can only help the team). Kevin provided great back-up and had one excellent pass on Steve Worrall in heat 10. Riding much more like a no. 1 but can get even better. The others all had their moments but their gating kept their scores down. When Henry & Berge return I think it will be a very solid team who will dominate most home meetings and be capable of springing a few surprises away (even at the Dale!).
scotchopper
Very Interesting meeting today with a close score and some good passes. missed opportunity for the tigers with monarchs top 2 off form and fox scoring zero it is unlikely they will have a better chance against us this year. In the end the monarchs 1-5 only ran one last place and unbelievably that was Craig Cook, great scoring. Big decision for ht15 and cookie finally came to the party after missing the gate again. Tremendous pass over rusty Harrison, the best Glasgow rider today, which ensured the win. Great to see rusty up and OK after his fall, on this form he is a pleasure to watch. Kevin looked back to good form so Glasgow should be OK. Cookie with a rare off night but still managed 2 passes including ensuring the win Sedgy had 3 great wins and probably should have been in ht15 Max looked fast all day and a little unlucky to be behind Stevie a couple of times when he may have had a better chance of passing the tiger in the lead. Brilliant pass in ht12 Stevie worralls gating was first class, looked a little slow at times but for gating alone was a contender for ht15 Sam had no luck, after a hard pass in ht5 he would have won if campton had been able to clear the track and then a fantastic cut back in the first running of ht13 was ruled out by an unsatisfactory start. If he hits form there will be no stopping us. Aaron struggled after getting shoved out the way in ht2, was expecting better after his guest score but still good learning for him. Deek scored important points beating his opposite reserve 3 times out of 5. Would take that in all away matches.
