Redcar V Edinbrugh (pl) 3/7/14 @ 7.30pm

Recommended Posts

Well we head to redcar on Thursday hoping to pick up some away points. It will be difficult with the bears being a bit of bogey team for ourselves. They have also strengthened their team by bringing in Mark Lemon for Luke Crang meaning Jan Graversen moving back to reserve. For the the boys in blue & gold Stevie Worrall moves into the main body of the team with Derek Sneddon moving to reserve.

I think our unbeaten streak will finally come to an end come thursday night but i do think we will get a point. 46 - 44 to the bears.

Teams for Thursday:

Redcar

  1. Richard Lawson
  2. Hugh Skidmore
  3. Mark Lemon
  4. Carl Wilkinson
  5. Aaron Summers
  6. Jan Graversen
  7. Rafal Konopka

Edinburgh

  1. Craig Cook
  2. Justin Sedgmen
  3. Max Fricke
  4. Stevie Worrall
  5. Sam Masters
  6. Aaron Fox
  7. Derek Sneddon

This is a tough match, but one thing is certain it will be close. No team is favourite, its neck and neck, should go to the last heat and its who gets up for it on the night. STMP should hold no fears for the monarchs, with a lot of Redcar specialists, top of which is the Cookie monster. Lets hope for a good track and a safe meeting.

I assumed the meeting must be off given the lack of interest in the thread.

But according to the BBC Weather site, all looks fine this evening.

So it must just be apathy then.

Really surprised since this will probably be the night the unbeaten record gets broken.

Hopefully.

Actually you are right with the apathy comment - last weeks meeting against Plymouth didn't have a thread at all.

Weather is fine - no issues.

redcar threads generally have a lack of interest sadly

That is sad to be honest as Redcar have a tidy little setup down at STMP...

Maybe it's just the fact there aren't that many Bears supporters frequent the BSF these days...

As for tonight's match, I too believe this will be the end of our unbeaten run... However, if we can sneak a point then I'll be happy...

Wow I was worried about that tonight based on previous visits, but I need to learn to believe in this team, I now feel we should win tomorrow as well, #smug

22 meetings unbeaten and you are just learning to believe in your team lol . I think it's pretty obvious that they're quite good

Pleasant evening to watch Speedway, but unfortunately the track, although not dusty, appeared to offer little in the way of passing opportunities after the second bend in most races.

Monarchs adapted better, providing ten heat winner amongst six of the team and always looked like winning as the meeting progressed.

Hope junior rider, Paul Bowen, is ok after his fall in ht1 of the abandoned NJL match.
