Woz01
So, on a renowned 'gater's' track, BV book Harris as a guest for Zagar??????????? He has scored 10+2 riding for Coventry and 11+2 guesting for Wolves at Leicester this season.
SteveLyric2
He has scored 10+2 riding for Coventry and 11+2 guesting for Wolves at Leicester this season. Yes, but who was riding for Leicester on those occasions??
Shale Searcher
Chris Harris pulled some strange lines at bp, they included making a couple of rediculously long straights, but they worked.... Be interesting to see how he goes tonight, especially on a naturally watered/weathered surface....
wilsonpaul198
Should be an interesting meeting. I shall be there and it would be nice to see Perry back at the Lions den even as a Lions fan there would be nothing better than to see him put one over on the other reserves and show that the management where wrong getting rid of him. Who things are with world speedway the meeting over here in the EL are going to be nothing but a complete farse. This is the second or third time now that teams have been missing riders that are riding in other compatitions It is just plain stupid that an EL league team can even run a meeting with 3 or more riders missing and then have to find guest riders to take thier place that the teams fan do not want to see. Most of the time they are even having to fill the side up with riders from the PL league that have had no racing what so ever in the EL league. This whole fiasco needs sorting out. Fans want to see there team race not a side made up from any second class rider because the management can't find anyone else who can ride on that night. Speedway needs consistancy to keep the fans happy. Lets put a stop to all this rammle that they keep throwing at us and let us watch the team that they signed up at the start of the season. Unless they have been replaced or injured, Then at least they have a genuine reason for not using the riders we go to see. One elite league race night for all clubs home and away....... Monday and Wednesday with perhaps Friday as a day for rearranged fixtures. That way each team should be represented the vast majority of times
Shale Searcher
Weather is set fair for this fixture Chance of a shower this afternoon, nothing we can't handle, high of 21c, & light winds will make it a pleasant evening for Speedway!!
SCB
This track is rubbish. If a rider gets close to another and tries to pass it all goes wrong for him and he ends up either at the back or on his arse.
ruckerroo
its the biggest khazi track in the whole of the british isles, absolutely awful, somebody trys to gain ground and loses 25 yards every time
speedybee
Rubbish, processional speedway, makes Lakeside look massively thrilling by comparison!
SCB
"That is a big 5-1" has a 5-1 ever been a small one?!
Daniel Smith
Yep, can't believe how bad this is. Will I can actually after the Leicester v King's Lynn meeting but the only passing opportunities are from engine failures or falls. No passing what so ever. Might well be better off having 1 lap sprints. Â By the noise from the crowd, they seem easily pleased though
mikebv
it is truly a very poorly designed track.... Â third meeting i have seen from here and simply you couldnt watch this every week...
hans fan
it is truly a very poorly designed track.... Tigerite
Watching this online, Sheffield boys getting points much easier in this league than they do in Premier League. Awful meeting !!
mikebv
plenty of people do ,there must be a lot of clubs wishing they had the lions crowds I know, amazes me... Â Can only think that the 'novelty' hasnt worn off yet of their return.. Â Maybe DH was very astute in going EL to give them something 'new' and this kept crowd levels good...?? Â You could cut the straights by a considerable amount and make the track more 'circular' with very wide bends.. Â Could be a great race track given its 'footprint' size...
speedybee
It's sad..such a great set up, neat little stadium, great location..could easily be one of the best places to watch speedway in the country if they managed to get a competitive racing strip sorted out. Very nearly came to this after last night's rain off at Brandon. So glad I didn't. Edited July 5, 2014 by speedybee

The Observer
Bad track or not, the Lions delivered tonight. Riders 1-6 were on top form and Clegg is gaining in confidence each meeting. Credit has to go to Josh Bates who obviously was under the most pressure of all the riders. Edited July 5, 2014 by The Observer
weatherwatcher
Damn good night. They all did thier best and came up with the goods. Hope this team are going to get back to how they where months ago. Krystof sone got to grips with the track after falling in the first race. justathought
Dreadful, Dreadful track. I didn't think it could get any worse than the Kings Lynn meeting. How wrong can you be, processional drawn out heats with not even a hint of a pass. Edited July 5, 2014 by nightshift
lionheart
The Lions were made to look very good by a dreadful team representing Belle Vue. I could never call them the Aces. That would be terrible insult to the Aces teams of old. With Birmingham folding, BV could well revert to their customary wooden spoon position.
