racers and royals
I know that Italy and Russia are 2 of the teams and the Russians seem still to have problems-having named this quartet 1. Andriej Kudriaszow 2. Witalij Biełousow 3. Denis Gizatullin 4. Renat Gafurow (kapitan)
Bagpuss
Presumably the winner of this meeting qualifies for Event 1 at King's Lynn?

pandorum
I know that Italy and Russia are 2 of the teams and the Russians seem still to have problems-having named this quartet 1. Andriej Kudriaszow 2. Witalij Biełousow 3. Denis Gizatullin 4. Renat Gafurow (kapitan) At the start of the season Russia had a possible line up that would have probably danced the WTC. Just shows you that the BSPA are not the stupidest organisation in speedway Gafurov is past his best. Bielousov is decent as is Kudriasov but what about Kulakov and Tarasenko is a better choice than Gizatullin they can't even pick a decent second team I hope they make it but Russian speedway is in a mess Edited June 30, 2014 by pandorum

SCB
Where is Emil and the 2 brothers? Is there some history I need to catch up on? Emil and the Lagutas didnt race in last years SWC. It seems the Russian federation make the SCB/ACU look competent. Plus as we know, money talks and I don't think the Russians get paid enough to ride in the SWC. OveFundinFan
Sad when the top riders in the world "cannot" (for whatever reason) compete in a world championship event. I get the impression if they did compete in a qualifier and progressed to the next round, if that round was in the UK the Lagutas would not be in the line up anyway. Is that the case, and if so why? It has something to do with Visa issues. For some reason the Lagutas have had their visa applications rejected. WIth that in mind you could ask why Russia always (?) have been scheduled to be in the KL semi. Edited June 30, 2014 by Ghostwalker

DutchGrasstrack
For what it's worth: Russian youth riders are in Motala (Lokteav, Chalov, Kulakov, Tarasenko) for the World U21 team semi final.

racers and royals
Anyone any idea what time it starts and where the updates can be found? For the start time post 3 by myself. As for updates Italian staged meetings are always a problem-however maybe the Germans or Slovenians might be doing something. EC Rides Again
Only three Russians turn up ? A real shame that they can't get their act together.
racers and royals
Only three Russians turn up ? A real shame that they can't get their act together. At least the Germans or Slovenians will give it a right go at Kings Lynn.
Bavarian
Gafurov should have been their fourth rider, but is not there. Anyway, no use in the Russian trying to qualify for an SWC event in the UK (King's Lynn) when they know pretty well that their best riders wouldn't get a visa to compete. It's ridiculous, as is the FIM prize that is on offer for this qualifying round. How can they expect the Russian riders travelling thousands of miles to ride for peanuts. EC Rides Again
. How can they expect the Russian riders travelling thousands of miles to ride for peanuts. I'm not blaming the riders, it's the authorities in Russia and the FIM that should be in the stocks.
Bavarian
It is first of all the duty of the FIM to pay the teams and riders better. Where is all the money (a million per year from BSI for the SGP and SWC) going to? 071b.11 SCALE OF EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT Travel expenses, as well as long distance and ferry costs, are included in the scale of expense reimbursement of each Championship meeting. All amounts indicated in the scale of expense reimbursement are shown in Euros and are net amounts. All amounts can only be paid to the riders in Euros. This is how much the teams get paid fro riding in tonights SWC qualifier in Italy. Preliminary Round 4 teams Placings 1st = 2,725 Euros (per team) 2nd = 2,000 Euros (per team) 3rd = 1,575 Euros (per team) 4th = 1,300 Euros (per team) total = 7,600 Euros No wonder the Russians came with only three riders, it is better to devide it by three than by four. The money on offer is ridiculous, and I am amazed that Russia, or the USA in recent years, does sent a team to participate in the SWC qualifying rounds.
