Silver Cheetah Snr
It would be nice if Coventry could let us have some team news, or do they just expect us to travel and lump it whether we have got a team or not
pointsmeanplayoffs
FFS. Will we even get to the end of the season with a league in tact?!?
Trees
I can totally understand that the riders are committed to all their teams, in this case Coventry must be allowed to have guests for their missing riders to make the fixture attractive to the fans!!!! speedybee
It would be nice if Coventry could let us have some team news, or do they just expect us to travel and lump it whether we have got a team or not Yes, agree. I had planned a mini break to Norfolk presuming a full team and a competitive match ... now in limbo and not even sure I'll bother!
g13webb
According to my records, this meeting was in the original fixture schedule from way back in November. Question need to be answered as to when was this meeting aboard was first arranged, Which meeting takes priority, How long have the clubs known about this clash, and how are the team slots going to be filled. The worse part about this, is that the public and supporters are the last to know. If that isn't contempt what is. Hope I'm wrong, but is Birmingham and Eastbourne the way this league is inevitably going ????????

Star Lady
The worse part about this, is that the public and supporters are the last to know. If that isn't contempt what is. Hope I'm wrong, but is Birmingham and Eastbourne the way this league is inevitably going ???????? Fans have always been treated as mushrooms. What promoters have to realise is mushrooms wither away. Lynn are at present, so I read, bucking the trend and crowds are holding if not up slightly. That has to be down to a successful team. Lynn cannot survive alone so big changes have to be made. I'm sure everyone has their opinion as to what they are but IMO the first has to be treat the fans with respect - without them there is no speedway. Daniel Smith
So,what did look like a good meeting is now pretty much a walk in the park. If Coventry can use guests, who's available on the averages?
Bees_Man
I wonder how many meetings MJJ will miss by the time the season finishes. I'm guessing more than he rides!
Shale Searcher
Surely, it's NL only? If so another meeting turned into a farce, who's fault is it? Coventry for signing the riders, knowing availability is an issue for some fixtures? Especially with known dates? I don't know who else you can blame? Trees
I'd let Coventry have equivalent guests, exceptional circumstances :-) Good of speedway and all that :-)
semion
Trees, then you are giving every rider a license to pick and choose where and when they ride. Most will pick where they can earn the lost money, and that wont be in The UK
Trees
It seems they are torn though, the trouble with Wednesdays is it's Denmark's night like Tuesday is Swedens. SGB have no agreement with them over fixture clashes so what to do, I'm guessing our fixture list came out last so they have to honour their Danish fixture?? So SGB need to do what is right for SGB and it's fans?
Woz01
British fixtures take priority but was this fixture tbc a few weeks ago? Id get guests for Hans and MJJ and apply for a ban, its about time we stopped letting these so called stars treating British Speedway like crap. And if they didn't ride then the Danish Federation would probably suspend their licences.
