northyorksbear
Good win for the diamonds, wasn't expecting quite that scoreline. Seems like no-one told scunny riders that Newcastle track is a bit tighter than their own
Rider Replacement
Thanks Errr, Thomas has a "suspected" broken bone in his wrist, un-confirmed at this stage. Would just like to thank the big gob who has gone and opened their mouths!
NJC71
Really poor performance from Scunthorpe tonight. I thought this looked a close contest on paper but the Scorpions were just blown away by for once a full 7 Diamonds team. Certainly no obvious excuses for the visitors as there was nothing noticeably wrong with the track but Klindt, Auty, Douglas and Birks were very disappointing. Only Howe and Jorgensen put up any resistance at all. Good comebacks from Robbo and Lewis K and a fine guest display from Fox who looks to be developing a liking for Brough and rode very well. A word for Lewis Rose too who is making a very decent fist of riding in the top 5 before he really should be. Man of the match though was Lindgren who was absolutely flying and provided most of the entertainment with some superb overtaking. God knows what TWK will complain about tonight. What an enigma Ludde is though. When he rides like that it's hard to see why he hasn't got a 9+ PL average but he is thrilling to watch when the bikes and mind are in synch. 'did'nt team ride',,, I think a lot of dirt had been put on track today, which may have helped his passing,,, but well done to all, and for such a 1 sided match, there was some good entertainment :-)
lucifer sam
Reported as broken scaphoid. A real shame, he was riding well. Suspected broken scaphoid. But no-one is sure yet. It's swollen up at the moment; once the swelling has gone down, the picture will be clearer. All the best Rob

Hel'n'Back
Hope Jorgensen is OK and nothing is broken but I thought Sheffield were under performing last week at Newcastle but I'm surprised by the score of Scunthorpe tonight... Lindgren bust a gut to get past King in order to win a Race nearly fencing himself on the third bend in one race. He could just as easily settled for second. What if he had fenced himself? What good would that have done the Team in future Meetings had he been injured? Exactly the same with young Fox - he just couldn't let him win to help his confidence. Lindgren in this form is a truly brilliant Rider on occasions but he does not do it often enough, and I do not like seeing him doing everything he can to pass his own Team Mates. You might not like it but he is certainly NOT a Team man and tonight certainly proved my point. So please don't tell me he is a Team Rider - he plainly isn't.
