screm
Berwick making the Monarchs look very ordinary.. To be honest Berwick are making one or two teams look very ordinary this season.
mickthemuppet
Years ago at Wembley in the second halves they would have races call the one lap dash. I feel that last night's meeting would have fitted the bill well as there was hardly any changing positions after the first lap (was there any)
screm
Thought it was a polyfoam fence at Berwick? Also thought they had a strict curfew! Agree bad management on 14 though Berwick do indeed have a polyfoam fence, the curfew for last nights meeting was extended to 10pm I believe. On the decision to not to put Kus in Ht14, it should've happened but didn't and in the end Berwick won so no damage done, but in the form Matej is in at the minute its vital he gets his full seven rides as right now we have a No7 riding like a No1. Never been to Berwick but knew it was a big track. However, I was pretty shocked to see how tight and narrow the straights were in particular! Maybe the camera was playing tricks a little and they aren't quite as narrow as it looked on TV You need to get up here and see it for real, I hope you will one day. Shadders
right now we have a No7 riding like a No1. You weren't at Ipswich a couple of weeks ago then?

bigeddiechek
You weren't at Ipswich a couple of weeks ago then? Kus was still one of the better riders that night, he was mostly competitive. I agree with Screm, having watched his outstanding performance at Redcar, and two great home meetings we ahve a number 7 riding like a number 1. I never saw that coming when the team was signed, but I very happy that I am seeing it now!!! I shall repeat what I said earlier, guys who ride motorsports a lot were enthralled by the techniques of the riders. They never gave the track a single thought, enjoyed the passing, but most of all just loved the spectacle of these guys flying round with no brakes! So, some tire of that, thirty odd years later and I still never tire of it. I really don't like Armadale or Brough Park, but I'd still rather watch speedway there than a lot of more prominent sports. The track argument really shows how fans of the sport really don't help it along one bit. There seems to be a mentality of knocking it whenever there is the slightest opportunity: good stuff lads, keep it going and you'll eventually kill it off. We even have a "Berwick fan" trying to make churlish comments about extra flags, different tractors, and posters being put together. I actually couldn't believe I was reading that, I mean that really is a rather dim post... Still, several folk are going to come again this season, so they are folk to focus on! Triple.H.
Thought Justin Sedgeman came across very well in his interview after the ht14 incident. On a sidenote what happened to his brother Ryan I think his name was I remember seeing them have spin at Swindon many years ago.

screm
Captain Matty UpdateMatty is now at home in Broxburn. He has a possible pelvic fracture -- for which there will be no treatment apart from total rest , and he ...has been sent home with a handful of strong painkillers. The hospital will phone him with further information , once the specialist orthopedic consultants have more info from the x-rays taken today. As soon as Matty knows and relays the information to the club, we will update again . Taken from Berwick`s Facebook page.

I think Screm was making a very simple point, if it is good enough for Sky Sports, then it's regular playing fans deserve the same each and every week. Nothing dim about it. Bingo, to be fair all my points I make on here are simple ones, some people have far to much intellect for their own good.
bigeddiechek
Has it not occurred that the New Holland flags are perhaps items that they use at things like trade shows, showrooms, etc., and are not available on a weekly basis? The sponsor would likely have provided the tractors from stock as well, to maximise their sponsorship. Again they would not be available on a weekly basis. The poster is a fair point, but there is a cost implication there: they are high quality print which does not come cheap. I would expect there to be a bit of attention to this point though, and options explored. So I will conceded that point is valid, I stand by the other two points being a bit dim. It wouldn't have taken much thought to work those ones out.

Speculate to accumulate, if by paying for a few extra posters and putting them in the right places, you get an extra few through the gate you will have covered the price of any printing. Being called dim is no problem, I`ve be called far worse.

Berwick Rangers produce a basic fixture poster for each month, black print on a gold/ yellow background, it is pretty well everywhere at no major cost. Thats all it needs on a week by week basis.
