Jacques Posted June 28, 2014 Report Share Posted June 28, 2014 Sometimes i do wonder if "we all love Speedway".I wonder what the point is of coming onto a GP thread and posting that someone thought the stadium wasn't as good as those in the football World Cup or the atmosphere wasn't as good as in Brazil!!!!!I mean that isn't news to anyone and in all honesty,what sport can compete with the football world cup?Also wonder what the point is in coming on here and saying speedway isn't as good as stock cars etc.......maybe it is just me,but i really don't get the point if someone does love speedway. It is that sort of post or posts from others who don't actually attend that slag off British speedway saying it isn't as good as Polish etc which they watch on the internet.Constant sniping from people who don't attend and have no intention of attending makes you wonder if they are doing it because they love the sport and want to see it as good as it was back in the 50s or 60s or are just sniping for the fun of it/boredom Or just nuts? Ok it isn't the wee glee club that it was at the start , and there was a definite dumbing down when Edinburgh fans started posting , but overall it's an enjoyable and interesting place to be . Shale Searcher Posted July 1, 2014 Author Report Share Posted July 1, 2014 The reason I started this thread was two fold, one to see what everyone thinks about the amount of Speedway Supporters post on here and to gauge support for a new section for people completely new to the sport of Speedway. Sometimes you see a question or two on here that is really basic and sometimes gets shall we say an aggressive answer, because in most people's eyes on hear, it was a question all Speedway fans should know the answer, and it may make the question poster think again about posting, or worse, lose them from the sport.. More important!!!! For these are folk new to Speedway - they need encouragement to keep them coming to watch and chat about our Sport. A new Section like that would be great to educate our newer Supporters to Speedway. Some of us 'older' Supporters may gain from it too. None of us know it all. A certain individual has hung up his boots on here and now the threads he used to post on are actually readable and credible again. People used to say i was anti-poole and only posted on poole threads. Now that the one person has left look how many times im on there? hardly any because it now has genuine fans not wind up merchants. Would be good if the mods actually banned the antagonisers and especially the multi aliased one JepsenJensen whatever it is now yet they go unpunished but if you use the word numpty or idiot you are banned! other than that the forum is now all the better than it used to be Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Just live with it - there's no alternative as I see it. Who is the chief moderator then? Must be someone who is in overal control on what's allowed/not allowed ?
