Witches V Rye Pl 26/6/14

Recommended Posts

Not sure what to make of that... Went expecting to get well beaten, half-way through was expecting at least a point, only for the Witches to start gating, and disappointed to get well beaten in the end!?!

Thanks to Manzares & Tres for the entertainment tho. Great ride by Tres Ht7: kept showing Tungate his nose on the inside off the exit T2, then on the final lap caught him by surprise and went around the outside - quality

Man of the match Hawkins lol. Was gino to entertaining for ya? I guess they just share it out for a confidence boost.

And to the presenter, the next time you interview Brian messenger, can you ask him to speak up a little, didn't here a word of what he said when I was. Anyway back to the meeting, now that was what you call a meeting of 2 halves.

Maybe you should ask him to interview Gino instead,

Thought Ipswich had 7 in their team not just Gino, ! Gino Gino

Yes he's a good rider but crickey your obsessed man. Lol

Well that was an entertaining evening. How ironic there's a thread elsewhere pleading with the Leicester Promoter to change the track shape, thank God Chris did it when he did.

P.S. Thought Gino was excellent, we all love him!!

Probably the best racing i have seen at Ipswich for a long time, thanks to Kennett, Boxall and Tres for some spirited riding shame for us they couldn't keep it going. Fed up with the need to continually use a NL guest for Stefan Nielsen, since we signed him we have had a total of half a straight from him, then thanks to his unavailability due to other commitments and injuries that is it. Puts us at a complete disadvantage as without knocking riders like Marc Owen we start the meeting knowing we have ten percent of our rides that will get a big fat zero, having an effective No 7 could have seen us go home with a well deserved point

Know how you feel westhamboy we've had to use NL guests for Ellis on far too many occasions and it is damn annoying.

Some decent racing last night, nothing wrong with Foxhall since the track was widened, but it still needs to be prepared well which it wasn't early on in the season.

Thankfully it's now much better and decent racing naturally follows.

Gets even better with Monsieur T missing the next couple of Saturdays, and only another NL guest allowed, Kennett must feel like the Captain of the Titanic, Len says he needs a motivator, more like a miracle worker.

This is getting beyond ridiculous now. Bite the bullet and say, merci Tres and au revoir. Anders Mellgren has tweeted that he's almost ready to return to racing. Would he fit in the side with a 3 pointer minus Tres & Stefan? Edited by Shadders

Well I'm sure Tres gave the Management ample information when he signed i suspect Silver / Mr Motivator believed they would be able to use a guest for his grass track commitments just shows how much care was taken there.

I don't blame Tres I'm sure he makes more money on the grass. His race win last night from the back was the best ride i have seen from any Rocket this season.

The draft riders or whatever you want to call them are a bloody nuisance. I fail to see how they will improve in the EL basically riding against NL riders whilst they could be riding against better riders in the PL. Great example is Ben Morley who is a million miles away from PL standard but is lulled into a false sense of security by scoring big at Lakeside

I don't see a massive improvement in Adam Ellis and when there are fixture clashes his PL club suffers. I have long thought PL is the best product in British Speedway but even that league is now being diluted for the benefit of the ridiculously named Elite League

As has been said it the same with Ellis and Paul Starke at Somerset There are 5 other teams in the league that they would be number 6 and allowed a "proper" guest" Cannot see the reason for it? (at both Newcastle and Sheffield they would be the in 1-5)

Haven't been able to hear anything all season in the stands on the back straight... The speakers on the flagpoles need to be moved higher up to compensate for the now elevated viewing position. I emailed the promotion after the 2nd meeting and was advised that it is being looked at but nothing has happened as yet....

Yes, adding Mellgren would leave you 3.80. But wheres Tres going to be to missing meetings?

Great to see Richie Worrall shut up the heckler in the home straight stand who gave him abuse before heat 15. It was all quiet after that race. Seeing as he had his right foot strapped up around his boot after collecting the fence in his first ride and was limping very badly, he didn't need to come out in the last race so it shows his commitment. Hopefully nothing too serious.
