Witches V Rye Pl 26/6/14

Recommended Posts

Well , the Chris Louis statement says he's not happy with the team and certain individuals need to buck their ideas up , blah blah blah but still says no changes would happen . A nice cushy little position to be in as a rider heh ? Ride poorly with no threat of being sacked !

Don't get me wrong in any way , the team's potential is phenominal and just seems to need the right preparation and motivation to achieve it . Who knows where that's going to come from though ?

I go for a reasonable size home win Thursday to renew the teams confidence , hopefully !

Oh and a slight side issue , " Baldy , you're cynical " ! Well you did say call you cynical .

If he does then it's no thank you from me, he was extremely poor the other season and when he was fit the previous year I didn't see anything better than we have now. I agree it would be better to get a replacement for Adam (not that he is any worse than the others just his availability). Maybe the elite clubs can sign a group of say 6 PL riders to pick from and then give PL preference in all cases. I think Louis's comments are a bit harsh to tar all with the same brush. Some are more guilty than others, but those such as Baldyman who see them away regularly would know who these are better than me. I can only comment on the home form.

Dunno if Sheffield are going to replace Poole but there's talk about them making a change. All I'm saying is that would it be wise to replace Ellis as he would possibly be missing meetings and can only use a NL Guest for him.

That has definitely hurt us this year, the fact we could only use a NL guest for him.

Louis mentioned a month or so back that he didn't regret signing Ellis, but for me it was a mistake.

The amount of meetings he's missed already for us is ridiculous. Not the lads fault obviously, but you have to question the wisdom of signing a rider you KNOW will miss several meetings.

All very well saying if we get to the play offs he'll be available, but we have to get there first!

Doesn't feel like he's getting the best out of the riders, bit of a strange one.

Does seem a bit strange seeing as he said he won't be making any changes. If they are not giving their best should they be in the team?

Don't forget to warm up properly for your run tomorrow night, you don't want to strain anything.

Hoping I can remember the way to the stadium tonight, it's been a while

As I mentioned in the original thread title before it was modified without notification.

Whats the harm in 1 extra line on the title??

Looking forward to some live stuff - its just not the same on TV.

Witches by 20.

Well the result looked like an easy win but it took till ht8 for the Witches to get really dialed in . Early on we seemed slow out of the traps and on the track , not helped of course by Richie Worralls early meeting woes . I admit after 7 heats i thought we were in danger of another abysmal performance but the boys turned it round very well indeed !

Overall a decent win and a much needed 3 league points .

Man of the match Hawkins lol. Was gino to entertaining for ya? I guess they just share it out for a confidence boost.

And to the presenter, the next time you interview Brian messenger, can you ask him to speak up a little, didn't here a word of what he said when I was. Anyway back to the meeting, now that was what you call a meeting of 2 halves.

Alls well that ends well so they say.

Shocking start for the Witches and it didnt seem likely that it would change.

Gino was superb as was the skipper.Either could have got the MOTM award.

Rohan looked tentative early doors but ended looking as good as anytime this year.

Morten very solid after messing up his first ride and Cam did his job.

RW redeemed himself after another twitchy opening.

Adam seemed to stuggle and it wasnt a surprise to see him replaced. Not sure how fit he really is after a number of big offs. (??)

Satisfactory although far from spectacular.

Another 2 week gap now which itself isnt ideal and doesnt help the team find any consistency.
