Pl Ambulances, Medics Or Just Plain Lies.

Recommended Posts

It can look that way to a lot of folks all it wants to... I DO believe that people will damn them either way whatever happens..

1. Either they could come out and call Richard Lawson a blatant liar (thus creating another frenzy on here) and people probably thinking the club are trying to deflect all the heat away from them

or

2. It would come out the paramedic was "intoxicated" and people come and sink their teeth in even more...

As I said, damned either way!

There are of course, numerous ways to stop all the speculation - something like this would work:

"The Paramedic in question received some distressing personal news and reacted in an unforseen manner. The person in question was not under the influence of alcohol at the meeting.

Richard Lawson quite correctly pointed out that the paramedic was behaving in an erratic manner, which he attributed incorrectly to the paramedic being under the influence of alcohol - this was in fact due to stress to the personal issue.

We are going to review the situation and make any necessary changes to our match day operational procedures that we deem appropriate as a result of this highly unfortunate incident. We apologise for any inconvenience caused but especially to the supporters of both Berwick and Redcar Speedway teams who were at the match in question"

This would pretty much put everything to bed - so the question has to be asked - why have they never denied that the paramedic was under the influence of alcohol?

For goodness sake, some people on here either cannot read, or are just out to make as much trouble as possible.

From the Berwick statement, which is available at the link below:

"It appears -- and we do not wish to breach confidences -- he is experiencing acute personal emotional problems which were severely compounded by a family telephone call during the meeting, which affected him to such an extent he felt no longer able to carry out his official duties."

So, for anyone looking for the reason, it is quite clearly there. The poor guy was distressed, then received a phone call which obviously caused more problems.

The statement clearly explains the events.

It was up to Lawson to tweet whatever he wanted, it was also up to him to remove the post.

It certainly was not for Berwick to in any way stoop to the low level that Lawson did. Hopefully he will learn from that.

If anyone is actually interested in finding out the facts - rather than being sad little people tittle-tattling behind a computer screen - then the full statement is available via the link below.

Yes, we've all read it and if you bother to read the previous pages we've all commented on how it doesn't say anything with any conviction. It certainly doesn't mention any facts.

So unless you want people to "tittle tattle" I suggest you make sure Berwick Speedway publishes a more comprehensive communication rather than attempting to fudge the issue and hope everybody doesn't examine it too closely.

And it's not "being sad and little" to enquire how a person who is responsible for the lives of 14 professional sportsmen in a dangerous sport is unfit for duty such that one of the riders refused to be treated by him.

A fairly pathetic post by all standards.

I don't and neither I assume do you unless you are Richard Lawson or the referee.

Exactly, which is why I haven't said anything of that nature.

That's the first I've heard of that, tho I may have missed it. Can you tell me where it was reported please.

That was the information that I received. Obviously along with a lot of other things it has not been officially reported. Sorry - it's a bit lame, but I can't say anything more than that.

It's the problem when officials and those who do have the full story don't publish it. I heard directly from somebody that the rider refused to be treated, but that's not on the Berwich "whitewash".

So to those of us not "in the know" your information is no more or less credible than anything else posted on this thread.

Don't get me wrong I'm not taking sides but with allegations this serious , both for the individual concerned whose reputation is being besmirched and for the safety of the riders in this and any other meeting, it's my belief that only provable facts should be posted.

Yes - that is absolutely the case. But since the provable fact's aren't going to be posted and many people seem to be of the opinion that "everything will happen behind closed doors" and "this thread should be shut down" I feel it's best to get as much information out there as possible.

It's not ideal, but when you don't give any information out, then this is what happens.

That efforts no more or less pathetic as the one we had from Mr R Lawson the other day, hopefully your post will go the way as Lawson`s tweet.

Possibly. I await the official announcement from Berwick Speedway with the result of the investigation and a full description of the event's leading to the fiasco on Saturday then.

Hang on, I've just looked out the window and I can see the Porcine Aerial Acrobatics team warming up outside.

But you`ve had an official announcement.

Its you that has been the claim that a riders refused to be treated, unless your going to cough up the evidence your post has no more credibility than Lawson`s tweet did the other day. Berwick Speedway have made their statement, now you may not like it, you may not agree with, but I`m afraid your going to have to live with as Berwick Speedway will make no further comment, something we maybe all should do.

Except there was no factual evidence to Berwick's statement.

I've made my statement - you may not like it, you may not agree with it. But I'm afraid you are going to have to live with it as I'm under no obligation to provide any further comment (just like Berwick Speedway aren't)

Fair enough, Berwick have made their statement, you have made your claims (as yet not backed up), looks like we will have to move on.

I remember a song once 'send in the clowns' Think most of them post on here.

Don't you love farce?

My fault I fear.

I thought that you'd want what I want.

Sorry, my dear.

But where are the clowns?

Quick, send in the clowns.

Don't bother, they're here.
