Jonny the spud
We just don't seem to have a team with a spine ! What a god awful 3 days of speedway from one of the on paper better sides in the league . I seriously think most of the 1 to 7 in our lineup need to grow a pair and put it on the line for the supporters ! "Grow a pair " ?? Wow that must be one of the most stupid things I've read on an Ipswich thread. And let's face it after Jackass's musings from last year there's a lot of competition for that honour To be continued on the Ipswich 2014 thread me thinks . topgun
Well done Tigers for your win worky must have knocked the stuffing out of the Witches last night for you to win today
Paulco
Entertaining enough meeting , but overly long . Two and a half hours is a bit of a marathon on the back straight . Still it was a good win against a side who i thought would cause us a lot of problems . As it was , only Worrall gave any resistance to talk about . Our three heat leaders might be awful away from home , but they are looking solid round Ashfield now and all three returned double figure scores . Aaron Fox was a good guest at reserve , worrying for a fortnight's time , and Kasper must be knackered tonight as he has to battle for every point due to his poor gating . But the lad is a real trier . Crazy injury to Anders today , looked like him and Theo were racing against each other in heat 3 , hope it's not serious . Likewise Adam Ellis , locked up really badly on the 3rd/4th bend with nobody near him , and spectacularly got thrown over the handlebars . Looked a real nasty one . But a good three points for us against a largely disappointing Witches side , but a long day . If our "number 1" matches Barkers 13 tomorrow I'll run a lap of Foxhall pre meeting Thursday in my birthday suit! Oh dear , oh dear

Will this make the attendance figure more or less at the next home meeting!!!! Only time will tell.

speedwaytiger
Delighted with todays result and good to see Wolbert can score points excellent display good all round performance from the tigers as was mentioned in an earlier post Theo & Anders did seem to be racing each other also noticed that last week maybe that pairing should be split up looking forward to next week perhaps another home win. CMON THE TIGERS
MD
Well I got this one badly wrong. Shocking from Ipswich but fair play to Glasgow. Ipswich didn't have much more to give. Perhaps they under estimated the opposition. Worrall was outstanding but got no consistent back up. Heeps broke down at the tapes in his first ride, got going again but spluttered to a halt after two laps and did likewise in his second ride. A pale shadow of the rider who got paid 14 last year. Tungate started well but faded in contrast to Risager who did the opposite. Manzares was on the pace but couldn't gate and Hawkins was just plain poor. Ellis was decent but pushed it too hard on the receiving end of a 5-1 and got a sore one. For Glasgow we got a No1 performance from the No1 and he was well backed up across the board. Anders is frustrating, trying to race his team mate and got himself the same injury at the same corner he did in the Rye House rain off. His withdrawal was probably cancelled out by Ellis though put the reserves under more pressure with Henry r/r. Fox started off poor but came on some, his gating was electric. He'll do for next week against Plymouth if he is available.
Paulco
No long drawn out parade today , which was good . Kevin Wolbert was on track and heading round to the tapes at 2-59 . Very refreshing .
Lioness
Did they say why that was Paul? I too was pleasantly surprised by no long drawn out affair and racing starting on time. At one stage today I thought both teams were making it hard for themselves but in the end I felt the result was fair. Harrison should be getting credit for the way he laid his bike down in heat 4 to avoid a stricken Hawkins - and all credit to Hawkins the first thing he did when getting up and getting back to the pits was to acknowledge it but Rusty seemed to have hurt his hand/arm. Worrall was excellent and I thought Risager rode better than his points taly shows. If I was a Witches fan I would seriously question the choice of Manzares as a TR in heat 10 - seemed bizarre. Adam Ellis as Paulco has already said copped a sore one and best wishes to him for a quick recovery. From where I was he seemed to be going far too wide and had to lock to try and avoid running out of track - he had done the same the previous lap. not impressed with the majority of his team mates actions towards the pits staff when asked not to go out on to the track while Ellis was down but Im sure they've heard worse!Fox was a good guest today and Kasper worked his little cotton socks off (cos I cant put what we said at the track lol). Good scores from the top end and other from the re run of his opening race I thought Rusty again looked on fire

Nope , no idea Lioness . Normally we dont bother with the parade when the weather is iffy , and that wasn't the case today . Not complaining though . speedwaytiger
There was no truck so they decided not to have a parade apparently
Weeyin
well that was a much improved performance from the Tiggers.. When Anders was withdrawn , I feared the worst but the 5 boys stepped up to the mark. Kevin is such an enigma, very poor one day and a delight to watch the next, was good to see him race with some aggression. Rusty and Theo also had a sterling meeting, Rusty doing well to lay down his bike so quick to avoid the stricken Hawkins. Not sure I like the Theo / Anders combination , they seem to race each other, did the same last week ! Kasper rode his socks off and deserved his points, scoring in every race Aaron Fox did well for us , he can gate , but can't quite defend his lead yet, but I am sure he will come back in a fortnight to haunt us ! For the Witches Worrall was excellent but he didn't have much back up. Adam Ellis showed some promise early on , and I thought he might have had 7 rides but for his unfortunate get off. Risager got better later on, but I was disappointed with Tungate as he usually goes well around Ashfield. Track held up well , shame about the dust but can't be helped on such a warm day, especially when our riders didn't want it watered at all... all in all a good day after last night's frustrations.. same again next week boys

Icicle
Risager was poor altogether, his win was against reserves, which, as a heat leader he should.. otherwise very disappointing. As was the whole team. Gino, after his first tapes blooper took a bit of time to suss the track out, then looked fiery & good. However, agree about the very odd choice of Gino as T/R! Why not wait until after Ritchie's T/R as Heat 10 was Glasgow's strongest pairing. Ellis was unfortunate as he did look good up to then & might have improved scoreline. Otherwise the rest, maybe tired? Or just all off form. Poor.

MD
If only Kasper could gate! With the right mentor he could become much better. He never tires, never gives up but unfortunately is usually chasing. When he does hit the front he's fast and always controlled. On a 4 point CMA he's good enough and to think we started last year with two 3 pointers!
