Shadders
don't know whether he was just up his own arse from Monday or he is just a little kid. Perhaps he was just a little upset after being taken out by Sneddon?
Chris Hutcheson
Did he take him out or did Garrity try to block Sneddon and come off worse? Like I said, he had clouted Sneddon a lap before. Don't give it if you can't take it.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Squaring up and a bit of fisticuffs is one thing but swinging a helmet at someone is well out of order.

If you did something similar in the street you'd be done with gbh Shows lack of class and if speedway had any backbone he'd be fined heavily and given a lengthy ban. It would happen in any other sport. Garrity think you're a good rider but tonight your actions were a total disgrace to the good name of rye house speedway and good guys like len silver
Cj69
Felt sorry for Rye House let down by that A rse Garrity, can give it out but cant take it. Sneddon is no saint but doesnt go swinging a helmet a someone. The guy is just a tool, shame as he can quite talented at times. Kennett and Bowen both looked good, combining for two 8-1s made meeting entertaining.

Mr Blobby
strange night really comfortable night in the end even when we weren't at our best. Rye house had only two heat advantages all night they were both 1-8 so they pulled 14 points back in those two. Now on to Garrity the boy has brain cells what so ever wild on the bike all night and then topped it by being a complete plonker at the end of heat 14. I don't understand why he got so angry he drifted wide coming of off bend 4 derek then came up his inside he tried to block him they then collided going across the start/finish line going into the last lap dereks foot rest got caught in garritys chain and it came off these things happen in speedway. After that Garritys actions were terrible you could see what was going to happen the minute he pulled up on the backstraight. started finger pointing at derek as he came back round on the victory lap he then then stormed down the backstraight while taken his helmet off waited for derek as he was about to leave the track said something so derek stopped. Garrity then throw a punch at him then tried to hit him across the head with helmet before derek got off the bike and lamped him a couple of times before Garrity then tried to hit him across the head with his helmet again another twice before all load off people came sprinting out the pits to split it up derek walked away back into the pits at this point but Garrity was still on the track getting held back by several people trying to go after derek again. Hopefully he will learn from this but trying to pick a fight with Deek probably wasn't the brightest idea the boy has had.
luluthetiger
He certainly picked the wrong guy to attack. Deek popped him really hard (in the face of a full-on attack by the helmet-swinger) and spread blood all over Mr G's face. He then calmly walked into the pits, leaving the assembled posse wrestling with the would-be attacker. The referee, who had seen nothing to take action about during the race would, if he is experienced, have been "marking his programme" during the action. scotchopper
Why was Eddie Kennett left out of ht15, very disappointing as it would have been a good race. Poor form to put Nathan Greaves in, no disrespect to the lad who was worth the paid 4 he got tonight. Ended up being an entertaining meeting due to the 1-8s and a couple of squabbles. Garrity needs to get a grip, fair enough to be annoyed and have a few words but to attack another rider 3 times is unacceptable. I heard he was still trying to get to deek in the pits after it was all calmed down. Slightly hypocritical of him to have a go at another rider after how out of control he was in his first 2 races. Was told EK suffered a blown engine on returning to the pits after ht 13. Thought his performance was the best by a visiting rider this season. Think some folk are OTT suggesting Garrity should face further punishment for the fracas. These guys are racing on adrenalin, and far better they confront each other after the race, when there is unlikely to be serious physical damage to the combatants. Anyway with Grievesy now retired, we've been missing the bonus of additional boxing matches until last night

mdmc82
He was much the same at Glasgow last Sunday . With these riders riding so often in different leagues , are some away meetings just becoming a chore for some riders ? We are the opposite at Coventry, we really miss him as scores big most meetings.
scotchopper
Problem I have is that he was out of control in all of his races and baulked 3 or 4 others including his team mate that it is incredibly hypocritical to then have a go at someone when you get it back. According to monarchs website the video evidence also suggests he turned left on deek so it was actually his own fault. Looked good on Monday but he has a lot of learning to do. me2
I thought Garrity was just trying too hard in his first couple of rides. He was pretty wild and getting nowhere. You could see the frustration building and someone was always going to cop it. It just happened to be Sneddon. It could have been anyone. He's had some good meetings here and usually scores well so he knows his way around, but he was over doing it and at times looked downright dangerous. I was on the start line and only saw Sneddon take him on the inside of bend 4, then as they passed us there was a bit of contact, but we couldn't see exactly what happened. His reaction was way out of proportion, but it was more out of frustration than anything Sneddon did. One finish from four rides says it all about his night. I wouldn't take it any further. He came off second best with his antics on the track, and in the handbags after. He needs to learn not to take his frustrations out on others. His poor night was down to himself and nobody else. Deek was just the scapegoat.
