The last time we were loads of points down to Edinburgh in a KO Cup tie in 2011 I believe, I never even considered that we would pull it back, but I was wrong and it was a fantastic performance. This time, I can't see the Tigers even winning on the night. Edinburgh are just so confident and we are so low on confidence and just not ready for the Monarchs yet. Hope I'm wrong.

I hate to say it but I can see the Monarchs doing a job on us in this one. Stevie Worrall is absolutley flying and to have him at reserve just makes them into even more of a powerhouse. Max Fricke is riding splendidly at the moment too.

Sheffield need to click right from 1 through to 7, it cant just be all about Stead, he needs support.

Think stead will take a couple of points off of Cookie and star again for Sheffield, but the 7 monarchs should enough to comfortably progress to the next round, wether we win or not.

The only way you won't progress is if the Monarchs get lost on the way to Owlerton and don't turn up. Lol

Tigers will have to improve massively on recent meetings to even win this meeting.

Cant see a big home win but we could scrape a win if we get a bit of luck.Everybody needs to be on form but after seeing lanham on tv last night im not confident.Proctor has got to get it together now.hes been getting good points for wolves so it shouldnt be a problem now .47 -43 if we lucky.

I think we can beat the Edinburgh team, but I think we don't have any chance of progressing to the Final.

But a win by a small margin is possible if everyone rides to their potential and chips in with the points.

One thing that we could do with is Simon Stead winning the coin toss at the start of the meeting, I don't think he has won yet at home.

Anyone know what the record is for the highest aggregate points win over two legs? Whatever it is I reckon the record will be broken tomorrow!

Speaking of winning the toss, it strikes me that Sheffield riders find it very difficult to compete from the no. 4 gate position, but the same affliction doesn't seem to strike opposing riders.... or is that just my imagination?

Fouthbender, you are right especially early on in the meetings. Even Steady can't get out in Ht1. It would help if he won the toss now and again !!

It's a bit cooler in Sheffield today with a chance of showers, I would be surprised if the meeting was at all under threat though.

Just wondered about this fixture running against the England v Uruguay match? could be a killer on the gate. This should be a good meeting; I suppose the promoters have considered this but with England kicking off in Sau Paulo at 8pm think its brave to run.

People can still watch the England v Uruguay game at Owlerton. We've got screens in the bar area.

Hope Sheffield get a decent crowd tonight no way should Redcar be allowed to call their match off, can you imagine if a Rider said I'm not riding tonight as I'm going to watch football, what a joke.

Agree they deserve it.Havelock couldn't run a raffle and his actions do the sport no favours. Edited by Fromafar
