SCB
No Lindgren for Sweden. No Pedersen and Iversen for Denmark. The Poles threatening to play silly buggers. Is this Team GBs years?!

orion
I would of still put Garrity in the team. He is the 1 rider who is fearless against big opposition and yes i agree he is not the full package yet but speedway is a mind game and he can scare the opposition and nobody else in our team does that. Usa carried a rider last year with an eye on the future and it paid off for them .we should br doing the same .if we dont try them we may never know. Rossiter said he picked kerr over garrity for the squad because its on a big track like kings lynn .this is the same track that garrity beat kerr 3times last week was it?. Sounds like someone dosent do his homework I would of still put Garrity in the team. I bet Hancock and Ward are not sleeping just in Case Garrity makes the side
Gavan
Garrity???? Thats a funnier suggestion than Barker!!! No wonder this forum is laughed at by those in charge ok so you are rubbishing everyones suggestions yet coming up with nothing yourself! come on add something decent to the debate and we can mock you Well those in charge are so clever they have just lost one of their flagship tracks and have as much chance of winning the SWC as North Korea have. Mind they (north Korea not the BSPA) will probably announce they won it as they seem to be collecting world cups this year. Putting Garrity in would benefit Team GB more than putting any of the other 3 as he will learn from being included. What odds does it make. Put in 3 kids who learn from the experience even in defeat or 3 wastes of space who will just underperform and then make excuses or whine. I will be cheering team GB on of course but I would rather see 3 guys who were 'the future' than 3 guys who were not even that good to be called 'the past'. ok put in the Garritys and the Kerrs and watch them be thrashed. its no good for there development at all. let them get better at elite league by moving up and getting in the main body or even a heat leader role first. by all means have them around but not in the 4! People moan about a lot of the draft riders being out of their depth and not helping their careers yet are quite happy for our World Cup team to be the same
Jacques
I hope and assume that this Danish team is just for the first round?

We would be annihilated if Russia sent its proper team to KL. So what will we gain by fielding three deadbeats who are of no use to our chances of building a decent SWC team. The US have two no hopers but these guys will learn and become better because of the experience. We will finish last in the PO so that's great for the development of British speedway. Stick the kids in as they may surprise people just like Garrity did in the British Final. If we lose so what as we will only stink out the PO, Tai apart. What is there to lose

So it would appear it's worse than last year in Russia.............
phillipsr
Just two changes. Tai and Bomber then 1. Buzz Burrows (the most naturally gifted rider the world has ever seen according to some on here) 2. Kelvin Mullarky- gate then roadblock That team will strike as much fear as some of the rubbish suggested

What is there to lose I actually think we can win the race off. Sweden look average, USA are a worse side than last year and let's be honest we are capable of beating Latvia or Czech Republic. Granted we would get stuffed in the final.

Fromafar
Damn good plan with only one real flaw. The SGP only allows 4 riders and no reserve Oops!
Mark
What's up with Denmark? No Pedersen, Iversen, Bjerre or MJJ in 1st round. Giving them all a week off to prepare and be fresh for the final. Chance Bjerre may not be picked for the final ? Could go with Kildermand or Andersen

markyb
Except one was on his home track racing pre dominantly against reserves and second strings, the other way away racing predominantly against heat leaders - not really a valid comparison is it? Hey man- stop being so defensive for the prima donna. Last Monday, mr fast track Garrity beat the likes of Thorsell and Wells - a feat that Cook could not repeat. Just face it - unless Cooky faces premier league opposition or lower (as he did mainly in the British final) he is completely outclassed and makes himself look a right muppet. Rosco can see that too ! Happy days

LagutaRacingFan
MJJ is ahead of Kildemand, he has experience in major events and is more likely to win a crucial heat.
Mark
On this years form how has MJJ got in the first four.? I only stated who wasn't riding. I'll leave the selction to the Danish team boss. He has ridden well in the last 2 GP's so he could be picked.
