Y'know, i'm can never get my round the notion that people think someone is actually jealous of a speedway rider.

Really?

It's a natural human trait to be jealous of success. The more successful someone is, the more they get people taking a pop at them and more often than not that comes from jealousy.

Have you had a few beers tonight ? You've replied to my post twice..

In my world, people become jealous of someone in their own circles - not someone who they have zero contact with apart from on a tv screen, or standing watching them at a speedway track.

with british speedway (probably) at its lowest ebb in years, its probably even more important than ever, that ENGLAND ha a world champion. the Tai moaners should be grateful hes remained riding in england. it is also in the realms of reality, as the years roll by, we could be witnessing a real great in speedway. its not impossible (with age on side) he COULD, be the most succesful rider in world speedway. for a british fan to moan about what he is doing, is beyond me really

Gater1 is a troll that just seems happy to be Anti Tai for some strange reason.

Just let them get on with it. BWitcher and stevebrum do nothing but try to start arguments or post insults :t:

Says the troll who admits to posting bull. Classic. :t:

Cant believe all this rubbish being posted on here. and the opinions of some. I don't hate Woffy, but his behaviour has to be looked at sensibly. No, he didn't break any rules, No, it didn't gain him an advantage, but it could be seen to set a precedent of future meetings. Had the referee been strong enough, he could have taken control of the situation and ordered the riders back to the pits, end of story.

We want this sport to prosper, to appeal to new supporters. We want the meetings to flow, with little or no holdups. What we don't want is riders going to the start area prior to an important race to do preparation work . Can you imagine the issues if this was done at a SGP final. No of cause not....

This has to be stopped now.... Whether you saw no wrong in what Woffy was doing, it has no place in our struggling sport.

Apologies if posted twice, all these World Cup games, make you forgetful. :)

Famous people are bashed mercilessly all the time by folk who are jealous.

However, if we take your line of argument then Jim the Whipper must just be a nasty piece of work constantly slagging of someone who as you say, he has zero contact with.

Poole fans get that all the time!!!!! :D:party:

I agree, a lot of the Poole bashing does stem from jealousy of course. Not all of it, but a lot.

I don't think he has it's just because he want's a reaction :t:

Keep on trolling lad.

Incidentally, if it's reactions we are talking about, one of my posts on this thread has the biggest reaction of all.. It's even got a 'Popular' sign next to it because so many people liked it. Guess what, it doesn't agree with your inane ramblings. Maybe you'll need to block all those folk too, if indeed you have actually put anyone on block at all.

I can not be sure, but it didn't look like his mechanic had bothered with the cut out lanyard either, that IS against the rules.....

Just to expand on this, I meant that when his mechanic rode Tai's bike out to the start gate, on all three occasions, he didn't appear to have the engine cut-out lanyard around his wrist, and that is breaking rules... Whoever is in charge of the motorcycle, whether it's on the stand in the pits, off the stand in the pits, taking on track, if the engine is running, that person in charge of the bike MUST have the cut-out lanyard attached around the wrist.... Unless it's an FIM meeting.... And from the angles I viewed from, that did not look to be the case....

Some people really do want to pick at the smallest bones and moan and complain about everything. It was a good meet with a good final. Actually one of the better meetings on SKY. Ok a bit over the top with Gardening but didn't break any rules. Let it be that Tai acheived a 2nd British title or are we going all PC and safety over everything. Some people will never be happy.

Over the course of the whole evening Tai was the best rider and well deserving of his British Championship..

So he didnt win all of his races, but he won the one that mattered

However, for his gardening, be right or wrong, I feel the "spirit" of the sport suffered.

Should a directive be issued straight away as to it being allowed / not allowed so all riders have

an equal chance.

It might be that a shovel and watering can become as much of a part of a riders essential equipment like

the steal shoe is, going forwards !.

Happy days

Peter Adams son kept on riding out the bike for Tai and from what I saw as well NO cut out lanyard was attached to Adam's wrist. However I have not looked at a rule book as there are so many rules now days. Most Team Manager's don't know the full rule book either.

Come on BWitcher :icon_smile_clown: and stevebrum :icon_smile_clown: post an insult ooooppppssss my mistake I can't see your posts anymore ;)

Never mind, we can still see your comedy, keep them coming. :)

I think we're basically seeing speedway fans revealing their true colors.

It doesn't matter what happens, all they want to do is moan.. and moan.. and moan.

We hear whinging there are no characters, no incidents etc over and over... then as soon as we get someone show some character, provide some amusement many of the same folk are up in arms.

The same can be applied to the GP with Pedersen/Zagar.

As for the allegations that Tai took 'all' the dirt from the other gates.. hilarious if you believe that is the case.

Do people really, truly believe that those two little shovels of dirt he collected from the pile of dirt under the fence (where incidentally Harris couldn't put his bike) made that much difference? Harris should have won by miles if that was the case with the amount of dirt he had available to him.

Then we hear allegations of 'delaying the start'? How exactly was he doing that? The 2 minutes wasn't on, extra time was being given to the riders who had fallen to sort their equipment out. At least he was providing a bit of amusement for the crowd, or perhaps they'd prefer to just look at an empty track.

As for the 'farce' of the re-runs.. again, such b****y moaning. I thought it was superb. Each re-run just added to the tension. We had riders who desperately wanted it and weren't going to budge an inch to achieve it (bar Harris) and that is the epitomy of sport.

That will be why you are not a referee then isn't it.

Omg I agree with Bwitcher!

I think the home Club Should supply a spade ,watering can, Bucket of shale and an impactor ,These to be kept by the start gate for any rider to use, council workers can draw large crowds when using these tools so may help with attendances.

The only difference being that the riders would use the spades etc, whereas many council workers use them to lean on to stop them falling over when having a kip between spurts of activity ie tea breaks and lunch time.
