TheSmiler
My personal view on this is that at first he was mimicking Craig Cook for doing loads of digging on his gate. But in my opinion I feel Tai got too far up his own backside with the whole spade issue and using the dirt from Harris' gate. And when he threw the spade after being told off reeked of arrogance. Fair enough, he's World Champion, but with the attitude that I've seen from his tonight and from last week's meeting at Coventry (vs Wolves) where he just walked past everyone into his van, I can't help but feel he's taken a bit of a Ward attitude lately. That said though, he's a fantastic rider and I still like him a lot.
BWitcher
Diva !! what a great way to describe him , I can't wait to see him pull his diva stunt at the Next GP , well that will be the obvious next step up of course having got away with it at his home track and with a weak referee , It won't matter if he gets penailsed because he can just go back to his pit space and have a few of his blue only M and Ms . and shout at some of the lesser mortals who work for him Aww diddums.... Tai keeps winning and Jim the Whipper doesn't like it. Keep the attacks on Tai coming if it makes you feel better, it won't stop Tai winning but it does provide the forum with some amusement.
stevebrum
Blocked as well good bye. I have enjoyed my time so far after blocking stevebrum so you can join him. We are the lucky ones then. Can I join them too? Got a feeling it will be in double figures come the end of the week. Sounding more and more like a Poole fan! Shame really as we are a Speedway family. It's a shame we have members like BWitcher and stevebrum making everything into an argument when there is no need for one if you don't agree then fair enough but there is no need to try and start an argument. Its a shame we have posters like you/KKS/JJR et al who actually admit to posting bull. Thank god im not part of this particular family, one thats getting smaller with every `block`. This is a forum for views. You are entitled to your opinion and they are entitled to their's. And in some cases if you dont agree just put them on Block - although `ignore` is the correct terminology. Not like that poster is known for posting facts! ColinMills
with british speedway (probably) at its lowest ebb in years, its probably even more important than ever, that ENGLAND ha a world champion. the Tai moaners should be grateful hes remained riding in england. it is also in the realms of reality, as the years roll by, we could be witnessing a real great in speedway. its not impossible (with age on side) he COULD, be the most succesful rider in world speedway. for a british fan to moan about what he is doing, is beyond me really

abbo
I think the referee did take some proactive action when he started gardening with the shovel, the starting Marshall spoke to him and he appeared to abandon completing his garden plot. Incidentally I have seen Barker in the interval gardening on the respective gates of the next Brummie riders in the next heat.(one his isn't riding in) I have often wondered if that is legal within the rules. Personally I think a rider is entitled to garden but only when he is on the gate prior to the start. I think what Woffy did should be against the rules it it already is not. Some swift action is needed by the authorities before they all turn with picks, shovels and their own broom. diana spencer
i would like to see tai , get his rake and spade out at danish fim grand prix at parken copenhagen on 27th june 2014 in the grand final ( heat 23 ) against nicki pedersen . i think it stank of arrogance , on his home track , after beating a 4 year old track record on his SGP bike , that he felt he needed to resort to such childish behaviour . the track staff were obviously too scared to tell their world champion to stop cheating or he would have taken his bike home and stopped riding for them . although i think he needed as much assistance as he could get , scared of getting beaten twice by jason garrity in the same meeting . . redlead
On Thursday night at Redcar, Ben Barker racked over his gate in the interval, the ref came down to warn him, so I'm guessing it's against the rules!!
The Doctor...
Jealousy isn't a good trait you know. Y'know, i'm can never get my round the notion that people think someone is actually jealous of a speedway rider. I only caught brief highlights, and that was when knackered after a night shift, so apologies if i missed something - but my view of it is that as World Champion and clearly top dog in the field last night, he was pushing things to the limit. I couldnt help thinking if he'd have done the same had they're been a rider on gate 4 already doing regular gardening - my guess is probably not, as no doubt the other rider would have objected. So, trying to get an unfair advantage is my view i think Only my opinon of course..

superguest
Tai moved a bit of dirt to give him a better chance off the gate, he then missed the gate (which at least allowed the race to get past the first turn) and passed both cook and barker, hardly the biggest injustice In speedway. Tai is using his successes to push his charity and speedway into the public eye. He comes across to me as someone who puts in a lot more than people realise behind the scenes, and now he's having success, people just want to berate him for being too good. When in reality he's at the gym at 5 in the morning and flying round the world on crutches, racing with broken bones, or staying to sign autographs when he could be getting some extra kip, I could go on.
josietoms
Can't believe what I'm reading here. The posters saying tai done nothing wrong are probably the same posters that moan about bob dugard fixing the gates for the eastbourne riders. Pot kettle springs to mind.
diana spencer
Do get real will you. the truth hurts thats why he threw his shovel away onto the centre green when told to stop gardening lol also how long has he employed a chauffer to bring his bike to the gate , 3 times in the final last night , while he was gardening , while everyone else got their own bike !!! The posters saying tai done nothing wrong are probably the same posters that moan about bob dugard fixing the gates for the eastbourne riders. Pot kettle springs to mind. That is very different. The track curator deliberately only going over only the home gates consistently is poor sportsmanship. That posistion to an extent should be impartial. Its down to the referee to ensure fair grading takes place. A rider preparing his own grid is part of the game. If he had been tampering with ruts in the other positions there could be a case.
