rob tatum
Just read that heaven forbid sky will oudbid eurosport for the SGP rights when there up for grabs. What a shame that would be a eurosport do a first class professional job & the thought of keith bloody heuwen & gary mumbling havelock in the drab studio fills me with dred. As my wife says & i always agree " scott suave nicholls or keith wig heuwen " sums it up really.

Mark
SCott Nicholls is doing a good job. No reason he won't work with Sky as he worked for them before.
GREDON
Eurosport although using same feed as Sky would use, spend more time showing us speedway at the track. As rob tatum says too much time spent with Keith and Sam analysing what has gone on when Sky do it
Arson fire
Couldn't give a monkeys who's in the studio or commentating, as long as the racing is shown.
Star Lady
Prefer Eurosport. Andy & Scott far superior to any studio combination Sky have had. Plus they show a few extras e.g. piece from Berwick qualifier. Â Biggest plus, their adverts advertising upcoming sports programme actually include speedway
Trees
In normal circumstances I'd say I hope the company who bet the most get the coverage because it means more money for speedway and the riders but of course it won't work like that as the shareholders of IMG will benefit only!! orion
Has to Eurosport for me the pictures and Camera angles are so much better than sky. also the racing is much better and there is so much more grip on the track now it's on Eurosport .

I must disagree. I think Quest are the best of the lot. It was their first GP and their coverage was magnificent. You'd think they would have been filming it for years!

Phil
Eurosport do far more speedway than Sky. Eurosport IS the home of motorsport and bike fans. Speedway is repeated loads more on Eurosport and is talked about more when the other motorbike sports are on TV. Â Â We also get to see the whole meeting rather than being cut short

Ned Kelly 41
It must be better to have competition instead of a monopoly. So leave Sky to provide domestic coverage (which Eurosport/Quest can't, as they don't have the capabilities) and E/Q to accept the SGP/SWC feed from BSI/IMG and pump it out as provided. Competition is supposed to keep everyone honest. Â Has everyone by now realised that Sky actually go to meetings and film them, while E/Q have no such facilities and have to buy in pictures from an outside source? Â They are not like-for-like providers, no matter how the end-product seems coming out your set in Cockermouth or Cornwall.
SteveLyric2
I thought the argument for Sky not bidding for the current SGP contract was partly financial but mainly because they already have more than enough live Saturday evening sport?! Â Or does the launch of Sky Sports 5 (in August) for all European Football, open up some capacity on Sky Sports 1-4 on a Saturday?
Jacques
Yes whole meeting from Malilla at 8.30 am on Sunday morning before they were " persuaded " to sort it out and show it live !!!! Fromafar
Yes because I am the " seeker of truth and justice " and I would like to know who/why Eurosport changed their mind It could be the viewing figures are not adding up to well and Speedway is a minority sport even in terms of all the motor sport that they show.Eurosport is the best Chanel for Bike and Car sport. They went out their way to provide live coverage so Speedway fans should be grateful instead of moaning. You are another that has been " brainwashed ".Lets have a look at Eurosport`s record this season-Swedish League, contract certainly here and Poland-all live apart from one week not shown until the following night at about 11pm and then the week all matches were rained off-they weren`t scheduled to show it until Sunday-that`s really looking after the Speedway fans !!!!! "they went out of their way to provide live coverage of the GP"-really they stuck 2 fingers up to the UK speedway fans by programming it on Sunday morning.BSI are hardly going to criticise them publicly and Quest bought a full page ad in the speedway Star-so no criticism from that source either. Sorry but I don`t buy this love-in with Eurosport-Their track record upto now hardly inspires me for the future.

Hardly " brainwashed" when I see the crowds flocked to the other bike sports you fail to recognise Eurosport know the viewing figures and programme accordingly IMO

I certainly don`t understand why British Eurosport-the only part of Eurosport with the GP contract was unable to schedule it live-what was so different with this GP to all the others on Saturday nights at 6pm ??
