Jacques
Swindon fans told us that Hans doesn't put his teams first so misses a lot of meetings. Can not fault him so far this season. Has given 100%. Loving our team spirit, a good bond formed. I think that had something to do with not being paid too Anyway, I agree that it's great they've decided to ride. The big disappointment is no Garrity. I still think we can sneak a win though, (Uh oh, I've gone and said it now) .... I'm hoping Bet 365 show this one Edited June 19, 2014 by Jacques

NeilWatson
COVENTRY will not be affected by this weekend’s Grand Prix qualifying semi-finals when they face Poole at Brandon on Friday. The Buildbase Bees’ top two of Hans Andersen and skipper Chris Harris will once again be lining up for their club, having made arrangements to head out to their Saturday events in Croatia and Poland respectively after the clash with the Pirates. It’s a gesture which is once again warmly appreciated by the Coventry management and supporters and underlines the spirit which runs through the team this season.Lower down the order, Bees are forced into changes due to injuries and unavailability.Kyle Howarth attempted a comeback from his weekend ankle injury when Workington rode at Peterborough on Tuesday, but he was only able to take one ride before withdrawing and will not be fit for Friday, with Aaron Summers coming in to guest for his former club.At reserve, Jason Garrity has a prior commitment with Rye House and is replaced by club asset Joe Jacobs, whilst James Sarjeant needs further time to recover from his horror crash with Stefan Nielsen at Brandon last week, and Bees have therefore booked Simon Lambert to replace him.Poole will be without Polish duo Przemyslaw Pawlicki and Maciej Janowski due to the GP qualifiers, on the instructions of the PZM, but Vaclav Milik will be racing at Brandon. Daniel Nermark and Simon Gustafsson will guest for the Pirates, who hope to have Josh Grajczonek back from injury subject to a fitness test later this week. The visitors are led as usual by captain Darcy Ward. I know what i said but who else is there and he may want to get revenge for Coventry dumping him and the fact that Josh was injured because of him. My apologies, I misunderstood your post. foreverblue
2 EL 2nd strings guesting for 2 EL Heat leaders!! Shocking. Is there a reduction in admission charges?? But they will most likely get more than our heat leaders would have got between them. I will be there and hope for a good close contest after a snack in the Roseycombe.

Nermark and Simon both ride very well at Coventry so capable of being good guests. Coventry also have 3 riders missing with one being our star reserve. Anybody who watched the British Final can see what a big loss he is. Think this could be close Edited June 20, 2014 by mdmc82

markyb
Why would average riders like Hans and Bomber miss out on a payday to ride in a practice for an event they have no chance of qualifying for next season? Very sensible IMO rather than loyal! And as for Bomber in the GPs there is zero chance he would be missing practice and riding for Coventry if he had any hope of making the top 8. So if they sensible, what are the likes of Bjerre, Bridger & Klindt ? They too have no chance of qualfying for GP's next season, but have chosen NOT to ride for their clubs tonight.
foreverblue
Josh Grajczonek will line-up for the Pirates tonight. Yippee, as long as he doesn't pull out after one race, hope he is fully fit.

john birch
It's disappointing that Poole have to race without both Poles coming on the back of Belle Vue without Zagar and Cook. I wan't to see us in the playoffs and am very grateful for what Mick Horton has done this year but don't see why this couldn't have been brought forward 24 hours. Kings Lynn seem to flit between Wed. and Thurs. I'd prefer Thursday's full stop due to doubling up and overseas commitments. I didn't go to Belle Vue last week or to the Swindon and Wolves fixtures last year. And before anyone says that crowds were bad in 2004, it might have had something to do with the dreadful team that year the worst since 1974 IMO! As regards the match, I agree with opinion about Janowski and given no Garrity the absenses just about even out. If the track is as good as for the Wolves match I'd take Bees by 6 - 8. A bit of hedging there as not sure whether we can get all three points. Interestingly when comparing away points won to home points dropped, despite our form being poor enough to be able to fit in MJJ we are running second to Kings Lynn ahead even of Lakeside!
