Ghostwalker
Batchelor touched tapes in last ride ! That could cost him dearly. THJ won his final heat and booked his ticket to Italy.

Bostonian
How did the Brits do? Seen only Harris got a reserve spot but were cook etc close to qualifying?
jimmy jimmy
No, Bridger 4 pts, Cook 1 point, King 5 points . Won't see a Brit in the GP Challenge until Robert Lambert gets there
JT
How did the Brits do? Seen only Harris got a reserve spot but were cook etc close to qualifying? It's safe to say Harris will be in the meeting proper. Barring a disaster, Zagar will be firmly entrenched in the top 8 come the Grand Prix Challenge, and will probably pull out of the meeting again, promoting Harris into the meeting proper. King, Bridger and Cook scored 5, 4 and 1 respectively and are all out. The Italian pick will inevitably go to Covatti and the FIM one to a Swede. As we know from our own wild card picks, the desire to satisfy national quotas far outweighs the desire to get the best riders in the series. Given his 8 point haul, I'd give it to Berntzon, but the BSI and FIM are obsessed with familiar faces, so expect Lindgren or Jonsson to get the nod. Again. JT. Bruiser McHuge
Cook scoring 1 just shows how little experience British riders have on the European circuits...it is virtually a different sport from a lot of British tracks and getting 14 or 15 at Edinburgh each week is no great preparation for meetings like these and certainly won't get a contract for the Polish and Swedish leagues I fear for Britain at world level over the years...the moment the young riders step outside of Britain on the European tracks they will continue to struggle and never have enough meetings on them to actually get better

We already have THJ and Sundström in the GP challenge so I doubt that AJ or Lindgren will get the wild card maybe Kasprzak will get it but the most likely candidate is Harris. Fromafar
The FIM nomination will probably go to someone like Bech or MJJ!!? They will probably wait to see if Harris does get in the meeting proper as he is having a good season in EL and thinks he is still going to get a lot better once he finds his gating touch!!!!!!!!!!! he have been unlucky in the GP as the riders are just going to fast at the moment.

He is getting more & more like 2010 each meeting. Loving watching him at Brandon.
JT
He is getting more & more like 2010 each meeting. Loving watching him at Brandon. "When all else fails, there's always delusion." It's difficult to fathom why Harris wants to put himself through another year of Grand Prix misery by trying to qualify again. Even BSI, effectively his sugar daddy, must start to question why they bothered propping up his Grand Prix career for so long, when time after time he rewards their 'faith' with failure. It's inevitable Bomber will feature in the Challenge, the organisers will make sure of it, but what does he hope to achieve? Does he look upon the series as an opportunity for a dozen holidays in a year? Or does he actually enjoy propping up the leadership table? Harris is an exciting British league rider and he's been a great servant to the Team GB World Cup cause, but his abject start to the Grand Prix season shows once and for all he's past his prime at this level. Instead of going on the defensive every time someone breaks this to him, Harris would probably do well to acknowledge the fact and focus on his strengths, league racing and the World Cup. diamond_ren
This will probably sound harsh but I hope Harris doesn't get in the GP Challenge meeting or in the GP's next year.... How many chances will he be given? I'd rather we just had Woffy in next season by himself and give Harris' place to a young pole or dane who will actually add something to the GP's.
