Sgp Challenge Final Sat 20th Sept

Recommended Posts

I've been in enough correspondence with them in the past few weeks... I would not know nice enough way to ask anything at the moment. Though I have to say that Grecory Ricci fellow seems OK. Hope they dont burn him out.

Yes-that`s him. I don`t really like this idea of a Nominated wild-card-Who are they going to pick ? could it be someone who hasn`t even done the qualifiers like Emil or Vaculik- just don`t know why they have done it.

Whether he bombs out of his semi or not, we may as well stick Harris name in the final already! The organisers will never learn, they parachuted him into the Challenge last year ahead of the thirty or so more deserving riders and he's repaid them by probably being the worst full time Grand Prix performer I can remember so far.

If it wasn't for Bomber who would you guys pick on for non-stop kicking?

Niamh

In fairness there's nobody really comparable. Who else in World Speedway has had five series nominations, a free ride into the Grand Prix Challenge (despite going out in the first round last year) and the qualifying procedure for a Cardiff Wild Card changed in his favour (then changed back again this year)? The closest is Freddie Lindgren, who is effectively the Swedish Chris Harris, having received four series nominations.

Both should never be anywhere near a full time Grand Prix season ever again unless they qualify in the top 8 or go through the Grand Prix challenge (without the aid of a free pass).

JT.

PS. It's not 'picking on' someone, it's utter frustration at the blatant favoritism afforded to a rider who receives charity year on year, yet time after time bemoans his misfortune. If he was Polish or Danish, do you think he would have been in the series in the first place, let alone had five nominations? Whether it's the track, his team or his machinery, there's one certainty, it's never HIS fault.

The best thing Phil Morris could teach him is not how to gate (I think that's a lost cause), but just to enjoy the experience while the time lasts and stop blaming everyone else for the fact you aren't of consistent Grand Prix standard any more.

You would hope that the wildcard would be so they can pick the best of the two 8th place riders. Or Emil.

IMO if Sayfutdinov is/was so interested about getting back into the SGP`s then he should be doing this years qualifiers for next year series, I agree with you about the wildcard going to a rider from one of the eighth places.

Yes that would be fair enough, but not to a rider who turned his back on SGP.

But I want to see the best riders in the GP series. If he realises he made a mistake and want to take part in the GPs again then let him apologise and have a go.

Fair enough, but to use your own argument, should his wildcard place be taken over an eighth place qualifier from one of the semi`s.
