Blacksmith
The winners of the Berwick v Sheffield tie ((Berwick 18 up from the first leg) The 2nd leg has been rained off 3 times already
CardinalSin
Careful BM I think the panthers thought they could swat the devils. If we can avoid fixture clashes and manage to get our own 1-7 in the fixtures, then I strongly fancy us to get through to the final. Plymouth can certainly be very good on their day though no question, so it's certainly not going to be easy. Not as easy as Somerset anyway
ZODIAK
What's happened to Nick Morris? Seems to have gone right off the boil.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Ah fair doos it's just I looked on their website and the BSPA site for results and fixtures and couldn't see anything there regarding KOC. Had a horrible feeling they weren't taking part for some reason which would have devalued winning the trophy for anyone else IMO. Do you know who they face next? They are waiting to face the winners of Sheff/Berwick in the QF. Sheff leg has been rained off three times so far!! Newcastle are waiting for the winners of Rye/Glasgow for the other QF. Then the semi from the winner of each those. Looks like a late October final again for whoever gets there!!
Cliffeboy
What's happened to Nick Morris? Seems to have gone right off the boil. Just had a quick look at Nicks stats for this season so far. His Green sheet is up from 8.96 to 9.44. At home currently 10.20 and away 7.64. Not a bad return for the youngest No 1 in the league. All tongue in cheek, as you just never know with speedway[/quoteDid anybody seriously think before the first leg that Ippo would win by 40. Would be interesting to see what his average is from this season alone as he does seem to have struggled a little at times by his standards. Certainly didn't expect to win by 40, or do so well last night against a full Somerset team that have been thrashing other teams at home, including us not so long ago.

Would be interesting to see what his average is from this season alone as he does seem to have struggled a little at times by his standards. His 2013/14 rolling average after last night would be something like this: With and Without BP Nick Morris M - 25, R - 118, Pts - 249, BP - 27, 8.44 9.35 Just 2014 average (League Cup, KO Cup and PL): Nick Morris M - 11, R - 56, Pts - 105, BP - 11, 7.21 8.29 Home - M - 5, R - 24, Pts - 52, BP - 5, 8.67 9.50 Away - M - 6, R - 32, Pts - 53, BP - 6, 6.63 7.38 Edited June 14, 2014 by RH92
Bagpuss
I don't think any Witches fan could have envisaged last night being so comfortable, well done to Ippo.
Paulco
Are Edinburgh not involved in the KOC this year? Yes they smugged themselves a bye in the first round . So that leaves the semi finals Ipswich v Plymouth and Edinburgh or Berwick or Sheffield v Glasgow or Rye House or Newcastle
Lord Lucan
Apart from the old "weather" chestnut, I can never understand why speedway doesn't specify a certain week to run each round of it's Cup competitions, surely it would go someway to alleviating this farce we have now of just picking your own time for as and when it suits, seems to work OK in other sports?
