Baldyman
Fast bikes eh? I wonder why that is............ Well you obviously know, so why are they? Yes he is talented, but talent doesn't make your bikes that much faster in a straight line
CardinalSin
I'm not sure how heavily Gino is backed, but his equipment has looked first class from day one. He obviously looks after his bikes, because they are gleaming at the start of every meeting. compare that to a lot of others that don't even look like they've been washed from the last meeting. He also posted pics on Instagram a few days ago of his engine that he sent away for another service, I think that's the second or third time he's done that this season so he's very well prepared. One of the signings of the season for me he's been fantastic and entertaining too. Edited June 11, 2014 by CardinalSin
Baldyman
I had a quick chat with gino in mac d on way home last night. He said he would have beat Fisher in their awesome race had Fisher not make his final pass with both wheels on the grass. Does anyone know which tuner he uses? That could be a big give away to why his engines are so fast, but like I said earlier, he definitely uses different gear ratio to everyone else at Ipswich. Or maybe he uses short stroke whilst most others are using long stroke. Edited June 11, 2014 by Baldyman

wealdstone
Went last night as a neutral, my first trip to the EOES for a while not since they dropped down to PL and moved around the race night. WHAT A MEETING! Probably one of the best I have seen this season. Two very even teams, and some excellent racing. Fisher and Manzares was superb. Crowd was definitely up on some of the EL attendances last season too. Perhaps the Panthers have found their level for sustainability? Riders on less money meaning the ticket prices come down which means more fans?!? The entertainment IMO was no different, I guess with a proper race track you will get entertainment. Well done Panthers, just wish we could have some A47 derby matches again. Agree a great meeting etc. Regarding crowd levels seemed worringly low to me. Baldyman
Maybe cos gino was already on the curb and Fisher still got under him? As it's you that has said it never happened, how do you know it didn't? Where you on the track with them? Or are you saying gino is a liar and you know best? I'm saying that i never saw both wheels on the grass, and obviously neither did the referee..
Baldyman
Nor did the ref see Hawkins break the tapes with the peak on his helmet, and that happened in front of him and not the opposite side of the track. I don't see many things, but it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Damn that gino, I can't believe he would lie to me. Remember Richard Lawson pulling the same stunt at Workington against Cookie and getting away with it a couple of years ago. If I remember correctly it stopped us winning on the night. pointsmeanplayoffs
Never happened, and more to the point, how would he even know without wing mirrors.. It did happen, I was standing on the entrance to turn 3 and his wheels were on the grass. Gino was covering the inside of the track, only way for Fish to pass was cross-country. Summed his determination up on the night, Fish was imperious, he did not want to get beat.
Bash
I know it's in the rules but IMO you shouldn't be able to put any wheels over the white line as this is speedway not grasstrack so they should use the track only.
