Had Ipswich had moved quicker of course they might have had Danny King in their team, though they would've had to make more than one change. On his average we'd have probably had to make 3 changes. I personally wouldn't swap any of our 6 below Worrall. It would have to be a straight swap for Worrall or stay as we are. Worrall has been a disappointment, no getting away from it. He's had the odd excellent meeting, but generally he's been pretty poor.
ZODIAK
Win as a team, lose as a team - another night a different result - any team in any match can point at reasons why this or that didn't happen.Thats fair comment and I agree to a point. Every rider has poor meetings, but 3 points from your top man and number 1 is taking it to the extreme. You'd expect second strings and reserves to have those meetings, but 3 points is unacceptable from your number 1. The move to Newcastle was done to get Danny's average down so he can be Ipswich's number one for next season

Had Ipswich had moved quicker of course they might have had Danny King in their team, though they would've had to make more than one change. My apologies, I've been misunderstood. Wasn't suggesting a change, but the situation must be addressed. If he had got 8 last night we would have won and the topic wouldn't even be up for discussion. My other thoughts on last night. Camo.....is getting there, hopefully and I'm sure he will, come good at the sharp end of the season. Gino, just keeps getting better and better, loving his attitude. Morten our most consistent rider this year, did his bit last night. Rohan, superb effort, growing into the No.5 slot very nicely. Ritchie gives his all every race, never going to be a grand prix rider but never leaves anything out on the track, including the tapes. Now Adam, super talent, but needs to be wary of doing too much. Over and out, all views my own, surely we are destined for play offs? Edited June 11, 2014 by Roland
CardinalSin
SHOULD be Roland. I don't see 6 teams better than this one, so if we don't make the top 6 then we've underperformed. But, speedway being speedway, injuries can strike at any time to change things. On Bash' post above, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to see King line up for us next season with his strong links to the club. In fact, I'll be very surprised if he doesn't. Lawson Doolan Auty Lindgren Wolbert all at no1 and have had meetings like this and Morris Fisher Kennett not far off something similar occaisionally. Thats why they average 7-8.5 and not 9.5-10. At least with Worrall you see the potential that he could/should move into that next bracket. Support and back him is the way forward IMO and certainly not hound and sack him. Super Blue
My original point about Worrall was not about getting rid of him it was about the fact that there seems to be some kind of curse or hex on the no 1 race jacket at Foxhall ! Maybe it's something do do with the fact that we are " The Witches " Spooky or what ?????

And even Cookie had a nightmare at Ippo recently Got to say that Worrall, Ellis and Jacobs really screwed up the certain 4 pointer that I expected Ippo to get. Very true, but i think Barker is more of a number one than Ritchie at the moment, although he has got more potential than Barker. However, he really needs to kick on in the next 12 months IMO.. 2ndbendbeerhut
Thing is a poor night from your number 1 should be single figures. But that's 6 and 7s not 3 and 4. I thought Nicholls was going to be number 1 next year?
pointsmeanplayoffs
Went last night as a neutral, my first trip to the EOES for a while not since they dropped down to PL and moved around the race night. WHAT A MEETING! Probably one of the best I have seen this season. Two very even teams, and some excellent racing. Fisher and Manzares was superb. Crowd was definitely up on some of the EL attendances last season too. Perhaps the Panthers have found their level for sustainability? Riders on less money meaning the ticket prices come down which means more fans?!? The entertainment IMO was no different, I guess with a proper race track you will get entertainment. Well done Panthers, just wish we could have some A47 derby matches again.
Baldyman
I was doing the updates last night and in some races there was just so much going on it was nearly impossible to explain it all. On Worrall, one race he just sat on the wrong line and went backwards and for most of the night his bike or bikes, I don't know how many he used, just were slow. Other riders were pulling away from him all the time. You can see he has talent, you can see he is putting in effort, maybe his engines just don't have enough go in them? Losing hagon as main sponsor maybe hasn't helped that. Just look at how fast gino's bikes are.
CaptainAudi
Just look at how fast gino's bikes are. I have to say I was impressed by the speed Gino was carrying when entering the first bend at Armadale when the witches were up a few weeks ago! Cookie is the fastest rider I've seen round edinburgh, but I've never seen him enter the same bend so quickly. Looked like he had a sonic boom every time he went round. Whatever he has been doing, he needs to let his fellow american Foxy into the secret ;-)
Panthers89
Superb meeting last night, thought the track was crap to start with but got better. Worrall was awful for Ipswich, riding so stupidly wide everytime, and going backwards. Risager and Tungate impressive, as was Gino, much improved on last time, so credit to him. Panthers were OK.... Ully was naff, Ales hit and miss, and Halsey quick starting but lacking the power. Jacobs was a lot better last night, much faster, so hope he kicks on now. Baldyman
He is the fastest into to bends at Ipswich also, and fastest out. Just listening to the bikes passing me down the straights you can hear his engines are revving higher, so it's probably his gearing allowing the engine to rev higher.
