TonyE
Surely this meeting will be postponed on the same basis as the lakeside meeting at poole last season? Not ideal I know but had Cook not just rolled over and had his tummy tickled last season we wouldn't have a precedent to rely on would we? To be fair I don't know what will do more harm to speedway's credibility, postponing the meeting at shortish notice but with a very valid reason (football matches are postponed due to 'international' commitments on a regular basis) or running the meeting with several guests on national tv letting the world watch as speedway makes a fool of itself again. Not as much as the Aces v Poole farce of last September for sure.

SteveLyric2
Whenever there is talk of a 'dodgy' call-off, why is it always BV and/or Lakeside involved??!! (ps its a joke!!!)
Vincent Vega
Schlein is a good guest but Richard Lawson has been superb for us this season so Robbo wont score what RL would have.
ouch
Not as much as the Aces v Poole farce of last September for sure. Very true, another instance where the authorities took the proverbial out of The Aces. I think it does more harm than good when you look at the bigger picture. It must give em a thrill or something.
mikebv
if bridger and lawson are allowed to race at BV instead of Berwick... could BV then use schlein and robson as guests!!!!! if so, and you know deep down that this very thing could happen, then no-one in 'authority' would even bat an eye lid... TonyE
I hope no one else goes looking for information on the Aces' website - it would be a complete waste of their time! if bridger and lawson are allowed to race at BV instead of Berwick... could BV then use schlein and robson as guests!!!!! if so, and you know deep down that this very thing could happen, then no-one in 'authority' would even bat an eye lid... Official update from Hammers' website - Bridger and Lawson MUST be at Berwick courtesy of FIM refusing to release them. John Leslie
Worrall was always going to be missing from this meeting and Stead booked as his guest replacement. It's only the Cook situation that's changed. Will the Aces just use R/R for him?
jimmy jimmy
Zagar and Nicholld can take the rides for Cook?
TonyE
Zagar and Nicholld can take the rides for Cook? Latest Greensheets show Cook below Nicholls - so not Zagar.

Shale Searcher
Weather is a bit hit and miss for this one..... Heavy showers in the morning will push up the spine of the UK, turning thundery once the day heats up, expect thunderstorms to hit Manchester around noon accompanied with torrential rain, hail and squally winds, the storms should pass through rather quickly, and warm sunshine will punctuate the storms. It's possible the storms will die down late afternoon and leave a reasonably dry evening.. Really hard forecast, models are in conflict over certain components... Mjolnir
It's a shame that we won't be able to see two full strength teams on Sky this evening - and although Schlein will (hopefully) be an adequate guest for Lewis, I don't think it's unfair to suggest that Robbo is unlikely to score as many as Richard who has been enjoying a blinding season so far. How does Rory usually go round Belle Vue? Having said that, it will be nice to see Stuart in Hammers colours again and I'm sure he'll give it 100%. Our guest bookings could be a lot less suitable so thanks to both of them. With the Aces missing Cook and Worrall it all gets evened out anyway! Hopefully the weather won't ruin things and we'll all be treated to some good racing - and a point for Lakeside would be most welcome!
mdmc82
Rory normally very good around Belle Vue. In great form & ex belle Vue rider so good choice of guest. Everytime I have seen Cook ride for Belle Vue this year, he has been very poor so maybe a guest would strengthen them Edited June 9, 2014 by mdmc82
Killer Cat from Mars
I actually think losing Cookie considerably weakens Belle Vue. His away form has been extremely patchy, but his home form is generally very good, and I would have guaranteed him a double figure score tonight against Lakeside. Finding an adequate replacement will be difficult and R/R just won't cut it at all! Steady for Richie looks like a more straightforward swap for me, and it will be good to see Simon in Aces colours again. As for Lakeside, Rory Schlein is a more than adequate replacement for Bridger - and Stuart Robson is a Kirky Lane track specialist, so I would suggest Lakeside are considerably stronger for their guests. All things considered I make Lakeside favourities for this meeting, but maybe the Aces can surprise me and pull off a win against the odds! Prediction Aces 43 Hammers 49. Rob B
Rory normally very good around Belle Vue. In great form & ex belle Vue rider so good choice of guest. Everytime I have seen Cook ride for Belle Vue this year, he has been very poor so maybe a guest would strengthen them Not at home he hasn't! 4 home meetings so for scored 9+2, 5+1, 13+2, 11+2 So which premier league guest is going to score more then that to strengthen us bearing in mind the likes of King, Wells, Morris, Barker are unavailable?
