Little Thumper
You call it Belle Vue/Coventry and split the fixtures between the two tracks. And who exactly is meant to support this hotch potch of a team?
foamfence
And who exactly is meant to support this hotch potch of a team? No idea but the alternative would probably be both of them not running.
Little Thumper
No idea but the alternative would probably be both of them not running. Why not? They both have supposedly got tracks, so what is the problem?

The White Knight
Finances maybe? Maybe you are right iris123. But crucially it doesn't help Speedway's credibility does it?

Little Thumper
Finances maybe? Well, I thought a big money man was taking over at Belle Vue? At this rate, they'll be asking Buxton if they can run there! I'm sure there must be some logic to this.........................but it is very well hidden! StevePark
Maybe you are right iris123. But crucially it doesn't help Speedway's credibility does it? So you would rather deny young riders the opportunity to ride and have them not run a team?

I don't think anyone will really notice the damage to its credibility on this one

Neither do a thousand and one other things, like in a TV meeting when there's practically no-one there and you saw half of the riders riding for another team, a week or two before. And I thought a temporary promoter was to be put in place for up to three years, as agreed between the BSPA and the council. Unless you know something I don't. They don't indeed. what I mean is Speedway has no credibility whether this (joint) enterprise goes ahead or it doesn't.
False dawn
This is a kind of job sharing. Neither club clearly thought they could justify / support a full home programme so they take half of the "home" fixtures each. Once you get passed what we call the team it makes sense. Fans who are already supporting a Premier League club (we can hope) can support their junior side without going to 2 matches a week, every week.
