Ommer Mon
Could be a late night finish with Scunny visiting as part of a double header. I remember the Heathens demolishing Halifax 64-14 in 1979 with a certain Mr Gundersen dropping the point. (I always know he would never make it!!!) Could they actually go one better here given Scunny's form so far? I hope their lads have a reasonable night and are benefitting from the experience. I do think that a place in a Development League may have been more appropriate for them at this stage of their careers though.

Fozzie4388
If Scunthorpe can keep Cradley in the 60s rather then 70s they'll have done well.

NATIONAL LEAGUE MEETING REGULATIONS Known as the National League, it’s official name is the National Development League to clarify that this is the entry level league dedicated to the training and development of young home grown Riders. Looks like Scunny have entered the right league then. (Please can we avoid yet another discussion about the relative team strengths of Cradley and Scunny - the NL is contested with different teams with different agendas, it's worked successfully like that for a long time, end of). Tough night ahead for the Stags' lads, but as long as they come out of it, having gained from the experience. Prediction: Cradley 44 Scunthorpe 46. Thanks for quoting the official rulebook. When the NDL first came into existence I got quite a bit of abuse on here for using the official name. This actually proves that Rob Godfrey is doing nowt wrong

Ommer Mon
I'm glad to see Michael Neale named in the Scunny team. He has shown promise in the past for Buxton and I hope he has a good night. Fingers crossed that we go ahead. There was a lot of rain about last night and our 'Landlords' got washed out after one completed race. Hope they have had time to fix the track. I am about 15 miles away but there have been some threatening grey clouds around. No rain yet though so i'm hopeful. Don't forget the 7.15 start time. Anybody with a closer view of the weather?
TMW
i wonder how many fans will still be there come heat 15 if it drags on into the night I hope the Cradley fans give the Scunny team the respect they deserve. After all, they are only 7 lads trying to make their way in the sport and so early on getting caught up in the 'politics' is not good

The issue has never been with the lads taking part but I wouldn't blame some leaving early. Hope it will be on, there is some drizzle around. Ommer Mon
What a washout! The heavens opened over Monmore Wood and that was that. The great British weather strikes again. Amazingly it was bone dry just over a mile away and if the match had been staged at Dudley Wood it would have been on with no trouble at all. Looks like the restage may be 24 June but I think that clashes with a footy match. Easy choice!

Football, i can watch it later & i will be there for heat 15 of the sunny match. Never understand people who leave before the end of any sport, paid my money & i want to get my full moneys worth.

Ommer Mon
Bad news Montie. I'll be there. Who knows, my views may change depending on the performance. As I have said before my views have nothing to do with the lads themselves and I hope they make progress in the sport.

Mike.Butler
If you are a statto like me one tends to stick it out to the bitter end notwithstanding...I regret that in my youth I too often left before the final 2nd half race and this now causes me angst 40 years later...I always recall my friend dining out for years on seeing Crayford win 65-12...whereas i've only ever seen Eastbourne win 63-15 when Workington's Ian Hindle jumped out of the gate to win a heat in 1978..
