stratton
WImbledon what a loss this venue is to British speedway, when you went there there was a aura about the place a great stadium and a nice little race strip.Watching this brings back great memories with the great Ronnie,Tommy, and Briggo.Has anyone any news is there zilch chance of racing returning to Plough lane.? http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=W5C3fdqGCjs
cityrebel
The last great london stadium of the 1920's is looking tired now. I went to over 600 speedway meetings there between 1968 and 2005. Sadly I can't see that number ever being added to.

van wolfswinkel
Followed the Dons in the mid/late 60s in the days of Nygren, Hedge, Luckhurst, etc., after New Cross closed, was the only track left in souf London, before moving to Swindon in 68. Had mixed feelings on who to support when they visited Blunsdon.
