Newcastle Vs Edinburgh {1.6.14 At 6.30}

Recommended Posts

A meeting between Newcastle and Edinburgh and one of your first posts after the meeting you mention us?

And to think we were the ones on the Ipswich Edinburgh thread who were accused of having chips on our shoulders :rolleyes:

You just noticed we have had it for year's better baton down the hatches and get ready for in-coming ;) .

Trolling on a Newcastle vs edinburgh thread cringe.

Back to the topic. Good win tonight. Newcastle are not a million miles off. Think Lewis Kerr for me improves every time I see him. The boy is top quality. He just looks so natural on a bike

Eh - me a chip?

How come?

It wasn't me that said "we should have won" tonight.

But I do remember some Ippo fans saying that on Thursday.

No chips here.

And you are quite right they are pretty fattening and could clog your'e arteries.

Steve Worrall won the meeting for the Monarchs but Cookie is a superior gating tart it has to be said.

Young Greenwood has plenty about him and gave his all. Was impressed.

I thought Edinburgh were fortunate to win tonight. King went through the tapes in a race he would probably expected to have won, Kerr then came off when second in heat 8 with Greenwood doing likewise in heat 11. All points thrown away by the Diamonds and this should really have been all over before heat 15. Yes Cook's exclusion for bringing down Greenwood was debatable but Lindgren was gone in that heat so that only really cost the Monarchs a point max.

I've said it for weeks now but the track is not helping the home side. Passing anybody is clearly a thankless task which certainly led to Kerr's fall as he pushed the bike out too wide searching for grip which just doesn't seem to be there at the moment and too many heats are over after the first corner. A couple of decent moves from Lindgren and Kerr aside this was another meeting where the closeness of the score and not the quality of the racing provided the drama.

Quite impressed with Ollie Greenwood on what I assume was his first meeting at Brough and it was good to see Stevie Worrall ride so well. He looked quick and smooth tonight and has certainly never ridden Brough with such confidence.

Pretty sure he guested for someone last season, but crashed and broke his wrist early on. Could be wrong though!

But King had previous for tapebreaking.

Can't afford to drop a 1-5 in heat 13 when it's tight.

I certainly didn't expect Monarchs to make up 6 points in 13 & 14 when you had King and Kerr out in them.

Not sure if we threw it away or the Monarchs really are that damn good. Either way it was prob. a fair result.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

You obviously don't watch him that much then!

Didn't see us winning that one especially with max having a off night and carrying a NL rider and Deek (who seems to be getting worse) but we did so...........

:approve::approve::approve::approve::approve::approve:

16 unbeaten now for the boys in blue & gold fantastic effort! :party:

Cook again looked extremely quick when it mattered tonight... Not convinced about him on the bigger stage and the bigger tracks though (e.g. Swindon the other night).
