Callum Johnstone
Anyone have any idea what the entertainment is for Cardiff this year
PHILIPRISING
NO idea but something else I can enquire of BSI. Do know that the FansZone will be located in a different area (nearer the station) with the roads closed to traffic which should make it much easier for people to move around. Understand that Monster will have a much bigger presence this year.

SCB
surely a better booking this yr, other than tribute acts, and 80s has beens I agree. They should get a huge name band in. Because thats what we all want to see right? Oh no, we pay for the speedway and anything else is thrown in for free. Would much rather pay £10-15 less to get in and turn up at 2 minutes before start time that have to pay for some band Id probably not want to see anyway. PHILIPRISING
THE FanZone has proved tremendously popular and is in reality a form of pre-meeting entertainment. But it doesn't come cheap, especially this year when BSI have to pay for the road closures in the City. In answer to SCB... I know many friends of mine that aren't fans who wouldn't normally go to speedway but love the GP at the Millennium because of the comfort and facilities provided by the stadium itself. They enjoy whatever aperitif is served before the main course because that isn't what they are actually paying to see. However, having some form of entertainment going on as they sit and wait is enjoyable whoever provides it. I asked BSI about the pre-meeting entertainment and the answer was that nothing can be announced until final details have been completed but right now the FanZone is their immediate priority. SCB
By all means have some entertainment but some people seem to want a modern, popular band that would add a fortune to the ticket cost. Stick with what they're doing.
Mr Blobby
IMO the entertainment and the fan zone in the city centre are good things to have. The fan zone gives you something to do during the day mingle with fellow speedway fans from all over the world. Also for familys with children gives them something to do pre meeting. Personally i love my going to cardiff for the GP travelling down on the Friday. Waking up Saturday morning go down for Breakfast get ready then head out to the city centre and soak up the atmosphere around the stadium, pubs and fanzone before heading into the stadium for the pre meeting entertainment. (some better than others).
T.N.T.
I think being a motor sport then an appearance by some freestyle moto cross boys like those on Britain's Got Talent would be good especially with the right music blasting out to add to the atmosphere. PHILIPRISING
THERE are many (including my family) who like having some sort of entertainment inside the stadium before the actual meeting but they certainly don't expect headline acts... That is good as you are likely to get someone who was on the X Factor but did not win it. Edited May 31, 2014 by A ORLOV
ytsejam
You've got to laugh really when you think of the utter and complete RUBBISH that was presented to the public ON the track last year (and to a lesser extent the year before) that people are still worried about the "off track" entertainment!! Adder
Where is the Fanzone going to be located this year then? Thought it was ok where it was last year to be honest.

Jacques
They had that a few years back With no offence having seen it Cardiff and twice on BGT I wouldn't want to see it again. Same routine, same tricks too. Not interested in the entertainment, there's always plenty of that at the POW!
