Gemini
That's correct Jacques - there were loads of interviews tonight, including during the break while the two air fence panels were being replaced. In fact I was thinking whilst there that the promotion have got it spot on now the Simpsons are back with Peter doing interviews, although he was a bit of a pain in the neck not finishing the Doug Wyer one before the race started so Chris had to talk over him.
g13webb
From what ive read on the Incedent your the only one with that view, i was keeping updated on twitter and people watching the live stream suggested Kerr was at fault. Â From what I saw watching it live from the royal box I was surprised Garrity lost control, as Kerr looked like he had gone clear. Thought this picture would settle any issues relating to Kerr being at fault of Garrity's Crash. Plain to see Kerr is well clear when Garrity hit his back wheel. Star Lady
we on the first bend terraces weren't bored. just hoping lads were ok. cannot hear mike man anyway. too much noise from tractors, bikes and music. Â what else do you want to happen ? we were not bored. cannot hear what is being said by mike man anyway and sometimes it is a load of drivel. would rather chat amongst ourselves and hope for good news about riders. What kind of entertainment would you like ??? Â I'm pleased you weren't bored. Socialising is great if you are a regular. My comments were more towards the perennial question of how to increase crowd numbers, both newbies and no longer attends. My family were on the 3rd bend and like you were chatting and joking but had anyone been a first night attender last night what do you think their impression would have been? The days of just providing 15 heats should be long gone. Buster has got so much right but sadly he's let down badly on this issue IMHO. Â Read the comments from Jacques and Gemini above, it's not rocket science. Interview riders/managers during any delays, fans then have the option to listen to them or socialise. I'm no great fan of Peter York or Mike Bennett but neither of them would ever leave such a long break with no interviews etc.
Gemini
Not only that but we also had Chris Simpson on the roving mike so he was chatting as well and letting us know what was happening during the delay. I find Speedway fans will usually be happy to socialise too whether you know them or not as I made a new friend last night on the 4th bend. He was on his own and I thought he was a Birmingham fan but as it turned out he was a Bomber fan so supported both teams. By the way lone males at Coventry - no need to worry as I'm only trying to be friendly.

Star Fever
There needs to be more volume when interviewing riders too - I didn't hear a word Lewis Kerr said when interviewed, due to the tractors

tellboy
Did Kerr have any outside influence in ht 9.I was as confused as most people were when the black flag came out.Kerr stopped,Garrity carried on and then stopped then Kerr got waved on by a few people to carry on,or is the rule only going to be used for tv

semion
There is no grass in the middle of the track now, so no Golf was being played.
SCB
There was outside influence but only by us fans, nothing from the pits. That is allowed The rule says no outside influence including from the pits. "no outside influence" so that would include form the terraces. Or team managers would just go and stand on the back straight during a race and hold out F1 style boards!
