naffer
True class rider, super smooth . A great rider who used to blast around Brandon in such a sublime way just like Ronnie Moore. I always used to think him and Terry Betts were total quality. RIP Simmo.

mikebaker
R.I.P Simmo. It was way back on the 26th June 1976 at the Intercontinental Final that my nick-name was born. Malcolm finished 4th in the meeting at Wembley. Have still got the t-shirt I bought, stored with loads of other 70s/80s memrobillia. Thoughts to all family and friends. A true British speedway legend. At peace now. xxxxxxx

proud panther
My first Speedway hero in 1968 at Kings Lynn. I would get him to sign a photo or programme nearly every week, & he would gladly sign it, even though I must have got on his nerves. RIP Thanks for the memories.

Trees
A really thoughtful piece was read out at Poole tonight about Simmo and everyone at the track gave Simmo a minute of sincere applause, really nicely done and well deserved for a great rider now departed this life.
