Malcolm Simmons Rip

Recommended Posts

Feel sad to hear the passing of Simmo, but also honoured to have had the privileged of knowing him. The years he spent at Lynn provided wonderful memories and the excitement created with the battles with Bettsy for being the No1 will never be forgotten..

Simmo was everything a rider could be, Smart, Intelligent, Sharp, Smooth, Ladies Man, Leader, Mechanic, even a Rogue at times. He was undoubtedly, in a class of his own and lived life to the full....

RIP Simmo....

Very sad news, 'Super Simmo' a true speedway legend. Condolences to his friends and family. Thank you for many great memories at Poole. A master of his craft.

Having been born in 1971 I was probably too young to realise how good he really was as I grew up.

It was only as I got older and learned more about the sports history that I was able to appreciate his true position in British speedway folklore.

RIP Simmo.
