Steve0
Ridiculous conclusion to the match. Â Surely only the team who are behind can ask for it to be called off...clearly Belle Vue don't want it off, so just carry on without the stupid time wasting debates. Â The track was clearly raceable....makes the sport a laughing stock The referee called it off
mdmc82
Swindon bound to be bit worried when Belle Vue were coming back in to it. Nigal and Tatum both think should have continued. Track no different in last heat than heat 10, some riders really going for it
Mr Blobby
Heat 11 belter between Palm toft and morris throwing the bikes at each other. then after that race they say the track isn't race-able and call it off! What!!!!!
mdmc82
The referee called it off thats cos Batchelor and Rosco wanted it off and wouldn't continue
BWitcher
Â Edited to add that Swindon could have taken the win after Heat 10, but unlike Poole some teams play 'the game' sportingly.. Â Sportingly? Â That's why we stopped after Heat 12 because Grand Prix wonderboy Batchelor couldn't be bothered. Â Batchelor was utterly shown up the race before when ahead of him two second strings were having a fantastic race, whilst he couldn't give two hoots tootling round at the back. Â A disgrace to his sport. Edited May 26, 2014 by BWitcher
stevebrum
What a ridiculous decision. Â Â Couldnt agree more. The previous heat proved the track was more than raceable. Â Yet another own goal for our great sport.
SCB
Â Â 15.11 After Heat 10 in an official Team fixture, only the Team that is losing may request a track inspection, or seek abandonment of the Meeting.
mdmc82
What does Rosco mean the table is false at the moment? Â It shows who has won and who has lost

YerRopes
Thought the meeting would reach it's natural conclusion..quite shocked it's been called off TBH.. Â Heat 11 looked fine to me, the rain in Old Town has recently stopped, although I am aware that Blunsdon has it's own micro-climate.. Â Heh Ho.. Steve0
thats cos Batchelor and Rosco wanted it off and wouldn't continue That's just wrong! Batch said he didn't want to ride - he didn't say he wouldn't continue! Â FWIW - i don't agree with the decision but the referee has to think of rider safety and as a few have said it was a 50/50 call.
Grachan
From about heat 5 onwards the Sky commentators were going on about how it should be called off after geat 10. Then when it gets called off they complain. Â Scott Nicholls was complaining it was dangerous when they interviewed him earlier, then when it's called off he complains. Â I thought it seemed ok to continue, but i'm not the ref.

waiheke1
So presumably the ref has to make an official report, and tgat report would need to indicate that bv requested the meeting be abandoned. If bv deny msking such a request they csn appeal the result?
Steve0
no she didn't. Â That's what was said - it certainly wasn't Swindon or BV who called it off so you are just splitting hairs!

waiheke1
no she didn't. Actually for sky meetings is it the clerk of course or someone who makes the call?Vague memories from the bv poole debacle - the latter one - ftom last year?
