Woz01
what personal goal he's not going to do any good in the GPS is he .at least he will earn some money at Cov hopefully Thank god Bomber doesnt have that attitude. We may not think he will win a gp but he goes in to win, thats a personal goal and he may hinder that by missing practice to ride for us. Most would have been much more selfish and not ride on Friday so he gets all the respect from me. By the way doing well in a GP would earn much more than an EL meeting.

To be fair to kingbee, Woz01, it's Bombers delusions that he is still a bona fide world class rider (largely thanks to years of gifted GP places) that have probably had a detrimental effect on his league scores this season. As SCB remarked, if Harris treats this Grand Prix season as a casual last hurrah, he will probably do better, and enjoy himself more, than continuing under the pretence that he's a top 8 contender any more. Shifting his focus to league racing, his bread and butter, will benefit both the rider and his club alike. I'm not a fan by any extent, but the guy deserves credit for ditching the GP practice session for his main employers. JT. Falcon Hammer
Can't believe some Coventry fans are having a go at Chris Harris because he chooses to ride for your club rather than take part in the GP practice!?! - At least give the guy some credit when it's due

To be fair he wouldve been crazy to turn the GP spot down and I'm not sure he would class himself as world class. Also his scores are pretty much where I expect them to be, riding at 5 is very difficult but a couple of away performances have been way below par. He will no doubt improve as the season goes on that's usually the Bomber way.
mdmc82
If Birmingham have any chance of getting anything against the bees then its now. Blackbird is good but weakens them without Hansen.
markyb
I have been so critical of chris Harris over the last few weeks on this site. Now it is time for me to be the opposite and praise the guy to the hilt for his attitude towards his planned actions this coming Friday in racing for his home club rather than taking part in the GP practice. Not aware of many other GP riders who would or have done the same thing. Would be great for the guy to be rewarded with a good meeting and then maybe the confidence to take into the GP proper on Saturday night. Great team spirit too with regards the "fish" and hans changing travel plans To ensure they around too on Friday night at relatively short notice. I hear another "new" track curator has been brought in. Hopefully they are able to produce a circuit worthy of the efforts of not only those as above, but the other 4 riders on duty on Friday Happy days !
thecoombdog
Hope fans give Harris the reception he deserves when comes out on parade. Well done Bomber. He can score 6 in the elite league on Friday instead of wasting his time practicing for a meeting where he is going to score 2 points max. Sensible rather than loyal IMO

mdmc82
Good choice of guest in Greenwood. Sarjeant good at home though so will be a big miss. He has posted on twitter that nothing broken but hes very sore. I feel Coventry could be abit Vulnerable tonight esp with NL rider for Hansen. Too many PL or NL riders. Gonna be a long night if Fisher rides like he has been

Key will be Howarth, done well in his few meetings at home.
mdmc82
Think Fisher will really have to step up for us to have a chance. Blackbird will be against Birmingham's 1-5 as in Hansen's place which will put alot of pressure on him
