CB252
I'd imagine there'll be a facility for Hansen, since he isn't opting to ride in Denmark as their fixture was on the original fixture list. Can't believe all the bellyaching about this. It's a no win situation for the Bees management. We have a Friday date, on which we were intending to run NL against Buxton, for which 99% of you on here won't turn up anyway. The management have got to try and alleviate a fixture crisis by moving EL into this date, and might have to do it again at some point given that there are still 3 EL fixtures to re-arrange. NL dates are easier to re-arrange, and can possibly use weekend dates since the riders aren't gallivanting across the universe on every day of the week. A Brummies team of Zmarzlik, Nermark, King, Covatti, Grajczonek, Bates and Lambert looks stronger than the team that was due to visit yesterday to me. Switching to a midweek date would be suicide for the Bees. The lowest crowd last year (circa 900) was on a Monday against Wolves and Wednesday meetings just aren't supported well, which is why there hasn't been one since 2011 when Sayfutdinov and Nicki Pedersen struggled to bring one man and his dog through the gate!
SCB
Theres nothing in the rules to suggest there will be a facility for Hansen. 16.5 FACILITIES16.5.1 A Team may utilise a "Facility" to cover the absence of a Rider(s) who: A is on FIM World Speedway Championship duty. B is engaged elsewhere at a BSPA shared or fee Meeting. C is recalled with prior notification, by his FMN for compulsory International or National Championship duty. D has been injured whilst speedway racing, Within 48 hours of the injury occurring, i f no evidence is available, a Medical Certificate must be sent to the SCB; failure to do so will result in the mandatory suspension of the Rider’s SCB Registration for the next home fixture. NB. The BSPA MC cannot overrule the suspension. E is sick or carrying a non-speedway injury for which a Medical Certificate must be supplied to the SCB within 48 hours of the sickness / injury occurring in which case the Rider may only return within 7 days (including his Team’s next home Meeting) with the express permission of the MC. However failure to provide a Certificate will nevertheless result in the mandatory suspension of the Rider’s SCB Registration for the next home fixture. NB. The BSPA MC cannot overrule the suspension. F has been suspended by the FIM, ACU, SCB or Rider’s FMN. G is in dispute with his Club, provided that the circumstances have been accepted by the MC, who will determine the Facility and period of the Rider’s inactivity. H is on FIM Longtrack Championship duty (for the day of the Meeting only; no facility is permitted for practice day). I being a PL Rider whose own FMN does not have a current Agreement with the BSPA and is competing in another National League or Open Meeting. This will result in the Rider’s SCB Registration being suspended for 1 (one) season and the Team will be automatically granted a facility for a maximum period of 28 days, after which they must re-declare. J is awaiting medical clearance from the Riders FMN. K is absent for any other reason (applicable to the NL only) Nothing in there says a facility is allowed if you re-arrange a meeting. Lasts season Newcastle agreed to change a meeting for Sky but were made to use a junior for Ludvig Lindgren Edited May 27, 2014 by SCB

Should use Olly Greenwood then. Should still have more than enough for Brum with Hans, Howarth, Fisher, decent guest and Garrity and Sarj at reserve. Panthers89
Makes me laugh people moaning about the non signing of Kenni Larsen? Maybe... just maybe, Larsen doesn't want to ride in the UK? Who would of ever thought about that hey?

Bees_Man
So we've arranged a meeting where one of our top riders will be replaced by a NL rider. Great move! Edited May 27, 2014 by Bees_Man
Silver Cheetah Snr
So we've arranged a meeting where a heatleader will be replaced by a NL rider. Great move! Bees_Man
Why, do you think its a good move watching an NL riders for Hansen? ...I did amend the original post to say one of our better riders. CB252
It isn't ideal but options are limited. Those of you bleating about Monday's and Wednesday's clearly know little or nothing. 5 other EL teams have those as their regular race night, which makes things a logistical nightmare. We have four home fixtures to arrange and one free friday. Not to mention that 99% of you that are moaning would then moan that it was on an off night, and claim that you cant attend because you have to wash your hair or cut your toe nails that night!

Although im not sure if it makes any difference its not the same. They moved the dates of the meeting for tv coverage it wasnt rescheduled because of a postponement. Lasts season Newcastle agreed to change a meeting for Sky but were made to use a junior for Ludvig Lindgren As with the Peterborough meeting it wasnt resheduled after a postponement. Changed dates for tv coverage. Id hope the promotion got some notification over this one way or another even though I would still understand why they decided to put the meeting on this date. abbo
Come on Mr Watson let's have your views. If we are serious about play off surely Chris Harris could delay his trip to Prague and travel on Saturday, Speedway needs to have a serious look at itself if it is still to be considered a spectator sport. I know the weather has been against the Promotion but as spectators we deserve to watch the best if it is called "ELITE" league. Turn your telly on to Swedish speedway and there are the top riders who we no longer see. Edited May 27, 2014 by abbo
LagutaRacingFan
I'm told the promotion have taken this date as a sign of the confidence they have in the Bee's fans. They feel that the Bee's fans will roar the side on and more than make up the absences of the regular riders come Friday night. mdmc82
Can Neil tell us if a facility will be granted for Hansen? Surely we wouldn't disadvantage ourselves that much by putting a fixture on a date where we would be that depleted. Get Larsen to replace Fisher and Rory in for a guest for Harris for this meeting and will be much happier fans

mdmc82
Far as I'm aware GP riders have to be at the practice on Friday. Emil and Lindback never used to practice and has missed a GP practice before to guest for us. Would be different if set bees fixture but as its a rearranged one it would be alot to expect him to miss practice
