FTM
You know, i can't understand why so many are making a big Issue about Vaclav. He's fine, he's still learning. Chris Holder was very eratic when he joined Poole. And look where he got.. Why? I think a lot of fans from a lot of teams are very critical about the bad design of the track as the third bend is so narrow on the entry a lot of good riders seem pretty average on this bend unable to pass lesser riders .Most fans put Darcy Ward in the top half dozen riders in the world and it will be interesting to see what he produces on Monday as regards overtaking moves if he misses the gate . TMW
Why? Because if he wins from the back then I will rest my case
Starman2006
Because if he wins from the back then I will rest my case Thats a great statement, he does it plenty of times at Poole. With his leg injury we are happy for him just to pick up points, and i don't think we are really fussy how he does it to be honest. Don't worry, our boys will soon work things out.
Kester
Because if he wins from the back then I will rest my case But what will that prove? That you have to be one of the most naturally talented riders ever to be able to pass at Leicester? Now, if you got Ulamek passing people round there that might prove something.
wandersome
Because if he wins from the back then I will rest my case You come out with some strange logic at times when defending the entertainment on view at Leicester's track but this even defies most of that wobbly logic... I almost daren't ask it but... how so? Edited May 25, 2014 by volty
lionstigersnotbearsohmy
Because if he wins from the back then I will rest my case So by the same 'logic', if Darcy Ward turns round and says that the track is crap (as he said about Tampere), you will believe what many people suspect to be true? TMW
No. I've always said that riders add the enrertainment. I have seen plenty of good riders at BP who have enrertained me. Nicky P being one of them but I'm hoping that Darcy will ride to his full potential. He may not he may say the track is crap but I'm looking forward to him giving it a go. lionstigersnotbearsohmy
Hope you all see some entertaining speedway tomorrow anyway. Darcy Ward is a top draw in the Elite League without doubt.

SCB
He reminds me of Dennis Andersson - has the ability but all over the place. No way.Dennis had a poor style, he gated and rode around looking like he could be passed as any time. Milik gives it a go, is a bit rough around the edges but looks like he has "it". He could have a nasty crash soon and never get over it or he could ride like it for a few years, smooth of the rough edges and become a good rider. I think he'll be a GP rider in under 5 seasons. Shale Searcher
Happy to say both Darcy and Marcin both negotiated their Polish League commitments today unscathed! Darcy didn't seem to be riding with any issues at all, looked a class act, but then again, they all did!!,watched all 3 meetings on sopcast, bloody brilliant quality, it was like watching 3 World Pairs meetings with the quality of the riders on display and the quality of the racing.... It was also nice to see in the main, pretty clean team race suits, when I say clean, I mean you were able to identify the club's they represent as the number of sponsor logos were minimal...... It made it look that bit more professional as well as the racing being top notch. Edited May 25, 2014 by Shale Searcher

I said to DD the other night, that he reminded me of Shamek when he first came over and that'll get sorted. A bit twitchy and over riding. He doesn't have the beautiful style of Shamek, but, I expect him to be dialled in soon enough
Trees
Yep definitely over riding, a danger to himself and everyone else out on track! I just hope he and everyone else get away with it!
Shale Searcher
Latest weather for Leicester seems to be dry tomorrow until teatime, then light rain followed by heavy showers on Monday evening.... Should be all systems go.. I know that upward of 18,000 Gallons of rain water was pumped out the track tanks and off the track Saturday morning/afternoon and this morning.. Bring on the Pirates, Darcy an' all!!!!

Skodaman
What did you expect when your team joined the elite league ? racing every week with a full 1-7 of your own , or nothing for 3 weeks then 2 meetings in 3 days with a team full of guests . you know the saying surely "be careful what you wish for" well a lot of leicester support did wish . and now they have it , There has been speedway at BP over the last two weekends, but it appears that you, as a speedway fan, missed them. Yes, the under 21s was a good meeting with lots of riders putting in good performances and some having scary lifts coming out of 2 and 4. A very enjoyable meeting. Didn't get to the junior meeting but that was also good by all accounts.

Both meetings had very poor turn outs. It's starting to rain now so hoping it passes and the meeting will be on.
