dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
But you wouldn't be abandoning the whole family, the boys would come with you, so it's just the missus that would be left "hotel alone" lol Think that riders suffer from not being busy riding their speedway bike. As a few of the boys live locally they will naturally "hang around" together and have a laugh. It's then maybe hard to get in the groove and do their jobs? We all have bad days at the office, hopefully his are over! and nanny grandad two sets of brother/sister in law and 4 of the boys cousins. She would lynch me! Baldyman
It's nice to know for some travelling fans that rohan basically couldn't be bothered on away tracks. And some say that rider's always give 100%, obviously not. Hey rohan if you can't be bothered then do me a favour and quit and leave it someone that may be bothered to do their best. CardinalSin
I also read the article this morning and nearly choked on my cornflakes. Interesting that Mike Bacon tried to spin the article in to a positive one for Witches fans, with Tungate now more motivated after being helped and bigged up by Scott Nicholls' mechanic this week! I don't travel to away meetings, and the article certainly annoyed me, so god knows how the likes of Baldyman must feel, travelling from one end of the country to the other, spending god knows how much money to support his team, only to read that basically one of the riders he's going to support couldn't really be bothered!! I think Tungate has been incredibly naïve here. He could have made plenty of excuses to the poor start of the season from lacking confidence, to struggling with machinery and set ups. But by saying what he has, he's now left himself open to criticism in his future performances. If he has an absolute stinker tomorrow or in the future, the first thing people will question now is could he be bothered today. Very naïve. Racin Jason 72
I think tungate thought when he joined Poole he was billy big balls. Now pl seems a comedown to him.
Baldyman
What I also want to know is, is where is the statement from Louis condemning what rohan has said. I want to read or hear that this sort of attitude is not acceptable from any rider racing for the witches, and that it will no longer be tolerated, the same as it wouldn't in any other sports or types of employment. How naive are you. If Chris is to say something it should be direct to Rohan. But then again, if he published a statement he would probably be criticised for making it public.
Baldyman
I'm the bloke who pays his money into Louis business, so I want to know that he is doing something about it, or why should I or other people keep his business going for him? You should give more understanding to a management situation when criticising an employee. What would feel like, in employment, if your gaffer bragged to customers that he had just kicked your erse for not trying. Not really on is it to admit that you've been turning up for meetings without motivation. He's 24, but in speedway terms he's still a baby. Only his 3rd year in speedway so if he's already struggling for motivation, then maybe best to pack up, go home and do something else.

I heard that in his first season his form tailed off about August when his girlfriend went home and he got terribly homesick. Perhaps he gets homesick from time to time which is a distraction to him. dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
As Im away I havent seen the article but on a general basis Id say this - the first and most important stage in solving a problem is to identify what it is and acknowledge it exists. After that whilst it may not be easy at least you give yourself a chance of doing something about putting it right. Well done Rohan for getting that first bit sorted and lets hope that everyone who can gives him the support he needs.
