mdmc82
Wonder if Shovvy will make a comeback to the forum tonight after the meeting? He's not been seen since Poole lost at home to Coventry. Hope hes returned safely.
Bryn
2.45pm WEATHER CHECK: Â Has remained dry since my last update at 1pm. Will shortly be leaving for circuit (3pmish dependent upon time my lift gets here) and will update further once I'm there, have computer switched on over there and when I get a mo between answering all the "is it on phonecalls." Red Panda
Incorrect. The Gdansk v Leszno match has been scheduled for this date as long ago, at least, since 3rd March probably even earlier. There is no facilty to cover his absence: Â 16.5.1 A Team may utilise a "Facility" to cover the absence of a Rider(s) who: A is on FIM World Speedway Championship duty. B is engaged elsewhere at a BSPA shared or fee Meeting. C is recalled with prior notification, by his FMN for compulsory International or National Championship duty. Get your facts right...........this is a rescheduled match not one that was scheduled in March............whether we have a facility or not is irrelevant...........however this is not the normal Lakeside race night when under normal circumstances we would have had a full strength team..........That would be like us asking Lakeside to race against us on a Tuesday when half the team are missing to the Swedish league.............. Â No I am not happy about it but thats life...........I hope we give the Hammers a run for their money......... Â Â RP First and foremost, 'financial suicide' would be for our promotion agreeing to hire the track and stadium for the day (which is a 4 figure sum) only to then have not a single copper coin through the turnstiles. Â And whilst some may try and deflect the responsibility onto Lakeside Speedway Club, it should be remembered that the reason Poole are under-strength tonight is purely their problem; the end result of THEIR decision to employ Eastern European riders. When will some clubs ever learn. Â You made your bed, now lie in it. Â Or, in other words - TOUGH. DEAL WITH IT! But you are happy to have Poole Asset Davey Watt on loan............ Â Some people really need to get a life............. Â RP

The Voice Of Reason
The reason we have Watty is because you lot don't want him - or else you'd have had him back over the past two years. It's as simple as that! Â So please don't infer that you are doing us any favours.

E I Addio
You are not doing us any favours by hosting the meeting on what is not your normal race night............ Â Â Â RP Â Â What rubbish ! Lakeside have a about three Saturday meetings every year. The bottom line is that nobody forced Poole to take the fixture. They could have done what Wolves have done and pencilled in a Saturday in a few weeks time subject to confirmation but Poole agreed it as a firm booking. As others have said if you sign foreign riders you take the risk of their unavailability for sometimes not very good reasons.

RP If you were well aware of it-surely the Poole management should have realised that having Mr Pawlicki in the team and also being a Leszno rider would mean he couldn`t be in 2 places at once. They should have realised weeks ago that they would not get a facility for Pawlicki.
