Edinburgh Vs Newcastle (23rd May)

Recommended Posts

Tonight's meeting at Armadale sees the start of a new era at the stadium. In the past forty hours the ownership of the stadium has changed hands and the Cochrane family are now in charge.

As greyhound people, their first priority is to make improvements on the dog side but signs of the initial upgrading to the stadium will be obvious this evening. We look forward to positive relationship and to see the stadium improving week by week. A big improvement on last week will be a well stocked bar!

Newcastle have called up Scunthorpe National League rider Ryan McDonald to replace the injured Luke Crang. Diamonds boss George English faced a nightmare in finding a last minute replacement for Crang who was replacing Chris Schramm.

Four of the Scotwaste Monarchs attended the Armadale Primary School Fun Day at lunchtime today. Aaron, Justin, Max and birthday boy Sam were the star attractions at the school event. Hopefully their efforts will entice some of the children to the stadium this evening.

Birthday boy Sam and recent birthday boy Craig invite all supporters to the bar after the meeting this evening to enjoy a piece of their birthday cake.

When we cut & paste stuff, we usually have the decency to quote the source, old chap.

Why do folk get sniffy about this kind of thing ? Screm's putting it on a Speedway forum for anyone who might be interested . Does it matter where it came from ? Not to anyone who was eating Masters' cake last night it probably didn't .

Another great lingren performance? Using rider replacement and brining in a rider who is a novice in the conference? What's going on one disaster to another can't believe we couldn't get a pl guest the bad decisions already made are really coming home to roost

i agree lingren hasn`t been at his best imo they should have kept henry who gives his all at every meeting

Lindgren didn't ride to badly last night and give 120% in every race which is all you can ask. It was only his gating which was the problem really otherwise would of scored a lot more

some would say he rode to his average, away from home :-),,, he has been moved from the number 1 position, n it seem's some folk still want his head !!!

has he done summit wrong to someone ???

What is the chance of Andrew Tully coming back early?

Even if he did it would mean another team re-gig. No, what we need is an effective reserve pairing to back up what is on paper at least a fairly potent main body when they collectively click.

Its called manners Paul - they seem to be going rapidly out of fashion. Its only fair to at least credit someone when they did the work

The bit I copied it from was taken from the Edinburgh Speedway Twitter page, take it up with them old bean or have a look for yourself, maybe you can post the bit I`ve missed, but for the life of me I cant find. It was tweeted on the 23rd (yesterday) under the heading "A new era begins".

So, ignoring the late withdrawal of Luke Crang, let's see who (PL) is eligible.

Kasper Lykke (3.92), Oliver Greenwood (3.70), Joe Jacobs (3.37), Rafal Konopka (3.00) and, er, that's it from last night's availability.

For future reference, others who qualify as PL reserve guests, who were unavailable last night: Liam Carr (3.00), Josh Bates (3.00), Paul Starke (3.63), Chris Mills (3.05),Roland Benko (3.24) Matt Williamson (3.00) and, of course Luke Crang (3.00).

Not a great choice actually. Never though I would be wishing for Schrammy so much to get better. And of course Lewis R. I think we will be decent again when they both return.
