CaptainAudi
Ryan McDonald is Guesting for Schramm tonight instead of Crang.
screm
Tonight's meeting at Armadale sees the start of a new era at the stadium. In the past forty hours the ownership of the stadium has changed hands and the Cochrane family are now in charge. As greyhound people, their first priority is to make improvements on the dog side but signs of the initial upgrading to the stadium will be obvious this evening. We look forward to positive relationship and to see the stadium improving week by week. A big improvement on last week will be a well stocked bar!Newcastle have called up Scunthorpe National League rider Ryan McDonald to replace the injured Luke Crang. Diamonds boss George English faced a nightmare in finding a last minute replacement for Crang who was replacing Chris Schramm.Four of the Scotwaste Monarchs attended the Armadale Primary School Fun Day at lunchtime today. Aaron, Justin, Max and birthday boy Sam were the star attractions at the school event. Hopefully their efforts will entice some of the children to the stadium this evening.Birthday boy Sam and recent birthday boy Craig invite all supporters to the bar after the meeting this evening to enjoy a piece of their birthday cake. HadrianDog
To be honest we scored alright for a four man team, but to be in the position of needing to hand three of Rose's rides to an ineffective novice was always courting disaster. I just hope Sundays' match gets rained off so we can at least ride it with a full team-pity our rain was not falling on Scotland tonight. robbieblackadder fan club
Another great lingren performance? Using rider replacement and brining in a rider who is a novice in the conference? What's going on one disaster to another can't believe we couldn't get a pl guest the bad decisions already made are really coming home to roost
CaptainAudi
Excellent Victory for the lads! Â Craig was as exciting as always. Justin was impressive in the first half of the meeting. Max scored well and was unlucky in heat 15. Derek wasn't great, but still did his job well. Sam was terrific in his first 3 rides, just gated poorly in heat 13. Aaron was the star man IMO, considering his injuries. Steve did well and carried on scoring above his average, can see him and Justin swapping again next set of averages. Â The fact that 3 riders scored 30 of the diamonds 38 points is disappointing, but I really think they are now weaker with King rather than stronger. Hopefully they can makes changes in the next averages that will strengthen them again.

SCOTLAND1314
Quite decent night's speedway. Â Two 5-1's in the first two heats made it very difficult for the away men. The Monarchs certainly hit them hard and hit them early and it paid dividends. Â All the home men scored well. With Cookie and Max scoring some really good points but for me it was also really encouraging to see Fox score his highest ever score for the Monarchs including a super win over a hard charging Kerr in heat 14. Â Robson was trying like a bear all night, King scored okay, Kerr deserved more points for his efforts, Lindgren has scored better at the Dale. Â For my money Max's heat 5 win over Danny King was a quality ride from tapes to flag with the home man keeping his form for all 4 laps whilst the away man lost his form after 3 laps. Â Heat 12 was a belter with Max gating and Robson and Worrall challenging to come by. From where I was standing Robson was nearly through coming out of bend 2 but Max pulled away ...for Worrall to round Robson on bend 4 and then his partner in bend 1... Robson then challenged like a bear..with Max rearing coming out of bend 4 (lap 3 after hitting a grippy patch) no idea how he got the thing under control bar less keeping second place. Quality race. Mr Blobby
Comfortable win in the end started well then we kind slackened off a little and done the job that had to be done. now thats 13 in a row so lets go make it 14 on Sunday. Â Special mention to Aaron Fox though after last weeks crash to then go and bang in paid 9 was fantastic he seems to just keep getting better meeting by meeting witch is good to see. Fromafar
Looks like Danny is going to find the PL a little tougher than was envisaged, but even his 15 pointers are not going to save the Diamonds with that line up.

We need Harry Potter, a Fairy Godmother and a Guardian Angel just to stay afloat, never mind reach the play-offs. To 'save us' in this scenario would need divine intervention. Given our race suits, could perchance the spirit of 'The Ghost' return as our saviour?

Chris Hutcheson
I had been looking forward to that heat 13 all week, but heat 12 took it for me! I swear I thought all three were heading for the fence on bend 3.
erniew
Don't think Ken 'Casper' Cameron could help us at the moment. I don't think Danny will be scoring anything like 15 points every week either, which asks the question whether the multiplyer conversion between the leagues is too large, especially as most seem to realise that there isn't a great deal of difference between them.
