Edinburgh Vs Newcastle (23rd May)

Lewis Rose out of hospital, but will not be racing anywhere this weekend. Leaves us with R/R and another NL guest for Schrammy. could be a long night at Armadale, regardless how well the team rides.

Possibly Ernie - but - one lives in hope. :t:

Why a NL guest for Schrammy? OK, we may be limited for choice, but we can have a PL guest (up to an average of 4) to replace him, as we did on Sunday with Berwick reserve Liam Carr.

My luck suggests this may actually happen. Better not, I'm skint! :)

Your loss

Oliver Greenwood

Luke Crang

Paul Starke (Coming up from the south coast though)

These are any of the riders I would like to see replace Schrammy for this meeting :t:

i think you are being a bit harsh on the bottom end Riders. Whist they are not performing successfully at present, we are particularly unlucky with our Team formation at present. With Lewis Rose, to my mind, riding reasonably well as a Reserve, finding himself thrust in to the main body of the Team far too early because of circumstances, the injury to Chris Schramm, and the Lambert problem, the Team has been somewhat thrown in to an unfortunate situation. Add to this the National League three pointer who will take time to settle and the recipe for a few defeats is very obviously there. I would not criticise the Riders, they are doing their very best in a very difficult situation.

George is aware of the situation and will, I am sure, endeavour to put things right.

I certainly don't expect a win at Armadale - as long as the 'Lads' try hard and do their best - nobody can ask more than that.

Let's hope for an injury free Meeting too - for both Teams

was that not the only way it would work, going for the big hitting number 1 ???

not like you ;-)

Thought I had seen it already that Luke Crang is guesting on Friday or has the Monarchs website got it wrong. Not the first time that our team has been announced on the opposition teams' website first- laughable!

The Newcastle curse strikes again. :(

I do hope he is okay :(

You have to be at Edinburgh 2 hours before the start tomorrow, and don't forget your Kevlars.

At this rate the jinx will frighten off prospective guests. Don't suppose that Stevie W could ride for both teams tomorrow night.

Whoever we get lets hope they have experience of Armadale or at least a small tight track somewhere. Still say we should try to persuade Jase out of retirement even as a stop-gap to re-whet his appetite.

Its fair to say the MC have stretched the odd rule from time to time but even they wouldn't let Worrall ride for both teams, though they`ve tried most things so why not give it a go. :o

I have to say I have some slight concerns about this match.

Newcy have a very strong top 4 who are at least a match for Edinburgh's.

How Aaron will fare is anyone's guess but if the horrendous wound opens up and he has to pull out then the pressure is all on Stevie.

But Stevie is only human (so I'm told) and could have bike problems all night for instance.

Deek was pretty poor last week according to the updates so all in all it could be pretty damn close given Newcy's usual liking for the 'Dale.

Or it could be another runaway Monarchs win.

Certainly don't want to start like we did for half a dozen heats against Ippo last week.

Expect us to take all 3 points tonight but it could be harder than all the other home matches we have had this season. With King, Robson, Lindgren and Kerr (if he gates) all capable of winning races. I think our strength in depth will be the difference tonight.

Edinburgh by 12.
