CaptainAudi
Edinburgh hope to extend their record of being unbeaten this season on Friday at home to Newcastle, who can sometimes be a bogey team for the Monarchs at Armadale (indeed winners twice there last season). Monarchs are hopeful that American reserve Aaron Fox will be fit to face the Diamonds. Newcastle may also be forced to use R/R for Lewis Rose, who pulled out before the Kings Lynn meeting because of a crash at Newcastle on Sunday, and will be without Chris Schramm, who also missed the Diamonds home defeat to Redcar through injury. The diamond will use Scunthorpes(NL) Ryan McDonald as a guest. Predicted Line Ups: Edinburgh Monarchs: 1. Craig Cook 2. Justin Sedgmen 3. Max Fricke 4. Derek Sneddon © 5. Sam Masters 6. Aaron Fox (Or Guest) 7. Steve Worrall. Newcastle Diamonds: 1. Danny King 2. Lewis Rose (or R/R) 3. Stuart Robson © 4. Lewis Kerr 5. Ludvig Lindgren 6. Dan Greenwood 7. Ryan McDonald (Guest) Edited May 23, 2014 by MonarchsMitchy
DIAMONDS
Certainly not confident for this one
HadrianDog
Short of injuries{if so only minor}or 'mechanicals' heavily affecting the Monarchs, I can see nothing but 'woe, woe and thrice woe' being exercised upon our patched up set of lads. I am at present reluctant to use the word 'team' in connection with the current Newcastle pack. Hope I am proved wrong obviously. PLEASE prove me wrong.
Paulco
Newcastle have a fairly decent record in Smugville , i've enjoyed watching them turn over the Monarchs more than once there - including last season . But i'm sorry i just canny see it happening this time around .
bri1966
If it's anything like Sunday ,we will be lucky to get 30 points. Come on lads prove me wrong please
crescent girl
Luke Crang is Newcastle's chosen guest, and Aaron Fox is expected to be riding.
CaptainAudi
Luke Crang is Newcastle's chosen guest, and Aaron Fox is expected to be riding. Is this confirmed? If so then good news! Luke is one of the riders who I couldn't wait to see in action as I've heard good things about him, and Aaron deserves to carry on from where he left off last week. The battles between the monarchs and their opposite numbers will be good.

DIAMONDS
Does anyone know whether Lewis Rose is expected to be fit? I think he is not supposed to be riding for King's Lynn on Thursday so it is looking unlikely

CaptainAudi
Deal! My luck suggests this may actually happen. Better not, I'm skint!
dantodan
Newsflash! Diamonds sign Craig Cook so he will line up against the Monarchs! Nah well I can dream eh! Newcastle's wheelings and dealings trying to bring in Robert Lambert and Danny "The King Of Diamonds" King was scuppered by the BSPA we cannot bring in Robert Lambert and have only brought in Danny King and a 3 pointer Dan Greenwood so we now have a weak bottom end. Unless our promoters can change some riders we will get trounced by well balanced and strong teams like Edinburgh. My forecast Newcastle scrape 30 points together by their decent top four riders

Unless our promoters can change some riders we will get trounced by well balanced and strong teams like Edinburgh. My forecast Newcastle scrape 30 points together by their decent top four riders I think you are being a bit harsh on the bottom end Riders. Whilst they are not performing successfully at present, we are particularly unlucky with our Team formation at present. With Lewis Rose, to my mind, riding reasonably well as a Reserve, finding himself thrust in to the main body of the Team far too early because of circumstances, the injury to Chris Schramm, and the Lambert problem, the Team has been somewhat thrown in to an unfortunate situation. Add to this the National League three pointer who will take time to settle and the recipe for a few defeats is very obviously there. I would not criticise the Riders, they are doing their very best in a very difficult situation. George is aware of the situation and will, I am sure, endeavour to put things right. I certainly don't expect a win at Armadale - as long as the 'Lads' try hard and do their best - nobody can ask more than that. Let's hope for an injury free Meeting too - for both Teams. cyclone
King, Robson, Lindgren, & Kerr have previously racked up decent scores at the Dale, so this could be the closest contest so far this season. It's reported that Fox will get the stitches out his thigh on Friday, so he might not be ready to resume that evening, so hopefully Monarchs have a decent NL guest lined up, if required (Nathan Greaves perhaps ?). Hopefully find out early enough to get our normal go-to NL rider, James Sarjeant, on the phone.
