Super Blue
How is this going to pan out then? Different night, weather forecast looking distinctly iffy, will the Witches have a full team available, are Gino and Cam fit enough to ride and be competitive if they do? Lots of ifs and maybes but if it does all go ahead and according to plan I believe a home win is on the cards.
Baldyman
Should be a comfortable win, but they do have a couple of riders that go well at Ipswich, along with a couple like summers that doesn't.
2ndbendbeerhut
Ipswich Star states that Heeps and Manzares are both hoping to ride, but Manzares has a fitness test tomorrow to see if he can. Rained a bit this afternoon, could do with some more to sort the track out. No Heeps and Risager can take r/r. No Manzares and its Heeps plus reserves. If both miss out its r/r and a guest. Last years Redcar scores: 1 Matej Kus 0 3 3 1 r 7 2 Hugh Skidmore 1 0 0 0 1 3 Ulrich Ostergaard 1* 2 1 0 2 6 4 Michael Dyer 2 0! 0 1* 3 5 Aaron Summers 1 1 0! r 2 6 Carl Wilkinson 3 0 3 2 2 2 12 7 Steven Worrall 0 f 0 Remember that the Witches dominated, with only Wilkinson riding really well. Lawson could score more than Kus but generally struggles at Foxhall. Ostergaard and Dyer been replaced by Konopka and Graversen. Should be a comfortable win for the Witches but who would have thought that Redcar would have won on Sunday at Newcastle? dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Need a big night from Rohan to take the pressure off the walking wounded and to kickstart his season. Hoping for a win by 12+
Emma T
Should be straight forward win for the Witches Wednesday evening and I think I'm right in saying we have always done well at their place to so hopeful of 4 or 5 league points over the two nights. 2ndbendbeerhut
As Bruv says, depends on Tungate. Then again lots of questions really, fitness of Heeps and Manzares being major ones.

sidewinder
Rain might be the winner on Wednesday. Even more likely, on Thursday at Redcar. Forecast is not very good.
Super Blue
If the weather does intervene at least it would give Gino and Cam time to recuperate a bit from their injuries .
Roland
Met Office radar shows rain from 7 onwards tonight. M'Boro tomorrow not looking much better
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Unfortunately looks bleak for tonight and tomorrow. Never good to have to look at rearrangements but even worse given the problem of race night clash.
CardinalSin
Can't they switch these two fixtures around!? Weather in Ipswich looks woeful for tonight, but fine all day and evening tomorrow. Redcar looks fine all day and night tonight, but a total write off tomorrow! Both sets of riders are obviously available tonight and tomorrow, so flip the home and away meetings and get two meetings on. Leave them as they are and little chance of either..

Baldyman
Agree, that makes far too much sense
Roland
Agree with the above re change days round. I wonder about the logistics of a switch for tonight at this late stage in the day.......but possibly not too late to think about running tonight's meeting tomorrow? Be interesting to know if this could be arranged, has been considered or is everybody sitting on their hands.

Of course nothing will be done on the basis of a weather forecast, they will just sit there and hope for the best! Most annoying factor is that it's very pleasant in Ipswich at the moment with the sun peeking out and it will probably end up as a last minute postponement as everyone is arriving at the stadium ( well that's never happened before has it?) I'll apologise in advance, but what's required here is some 'blue sky thinking' I had this quoted to me this morning by an HR idiot........luckily I managed my senses and didn't stick something sharp in their neck. Veterancub
This isn't a Darts match!...where the dart board is always on the wall and you just need players to turn up and threw a few darts at it! You expect a speedway match to be rearranged, with less than 24 hours notice, because of a weather forecast? Whilst the 14 riders may have been notified that they are required at a location at a certain time and date, what about their travel plans ( flights?), their mechanics? Who usually have full time jobs and what about the very important track staff? You expect them to just stop what they are doing and rearrange everything at short notice because it MIGHT rain tomorrow? Do you know that speedway is run by amateurs who do their jobs because they love the sport but also have to work for a living and plan their lives around something called a fixture list? To even think you could change the fixtures around with such short notice shows that you do not understand how speedway clubs have to run their business,s. Please, consider what you are suggesting before putting it in print.
