Swedish Elitserien 2014 Round 3

Indianerna – Elit Vetlanda #tv meeting (hopefully)

Indianerna

  1. Fredrik Lindgren (K)
  2. Piotr Swiderski
  3. Piotr Protasiewicz
  4. Cameron Woodward
  5. Niels-Kristian Iversen
  6. Joel Andersson
  7. Freddy Godlund

Elit Vetlanda

  1. Emil Sayfutdinov
  2. Leon Madsen
  3. Jaroslaw Hampel (K)
  4. Thomas H Jonasson
  5. Tai Woffinden
  6. Magnus Karlsson
  7. Jacob Thorssell

Indianerna have lost both their previous meetings and neither Bjerre or Lindbäck have returned from their injuries,

Mikael Maxhaven't performed as expected this season and have been replaced by Freddy Godlund.

They also chooses to use Piotr Swiderski instead of using r/r for Antonio Lindbäck.

Vetlanda are mustering a full team and I expect them to win this fairly easy. Shall we say 42-48?

If the meeting is broadcasted and they manage to prepare track good we could be in for a treat

as the track is one of the best tracks in Sweden. It is also one of the longest with it's 375m.

Weather forecast looks descent, no rain but quite cloudy.

Dackarna – Västervik

Dackarna

  1. Nicki Pedersen
  2. Dennis Andersson
  3. Patryk Dudek
  4. Joonas Kylmäkorpi
  5. Michael Jepsen Jensen (K)
  6. Robin Aspegren
  7. Aleksandr Loktaev

Västervik

  1. Rune Holta
  2. Daniel Nermark
  3. Troy Batchelor
  4. Hans Andersen
  5. Peter Ljung (K)
  6. Ludvig Lindgren
  7. Davey Watt

For the first time this season Dackarna bring the best they lineup they can and it is an impressive lineup,

With MJJ, Dudek and Loktaev back, Dackarna are clear favourites to win this meeting. Dackarna is one of the two

teams that still are undefeated this season.

Västervik on the other hand had a tough start in the first round away against Smederna and then had last weeks meeting at home against Piraterna rained off.

Kasprzak is still out with the knee injury and won't be back until Prague's GP at the earliest which means that he will miss the next 3 meetings (including this one)

for Västervik. Västervik really need to something exceptional if they are to avoid another loss.

I think this will be an easy win for Dackarna 52-38.

Piraterna – Ikaros Smederna

Piraterna

  1. Greg Hancock (K)
  2. Linus Sundström
  3. Chris Holder
  4. Anton Rosén
  5. Darcy Ward
  6. Simon Gustafsson
  7. Fredrik Engman

Ikaros Smederna

  1. Peter Karlsson
  2. Kjastas Puodzuks
  3. Kenni Larsen
  4. Mikkel Michelsen
  5. Grzegorz Zengota
  6. Oliver Berntzon
  7. Magnus Zetterström (K)

Piraterna lost a bit surprisingly the open round at home against Vargarna and had their meeting last week rain off.

Darcy makes his first meeting for Piraternas squad and Bjarne Pedersen is the one he replaces.

With Darcy in the lineup the pressure on the other riders is not as high as in the premiere meeting.

Smedernas are without Laguta for this meeting as he is occupied with a meeting in Russia. This means Kjastas Poudzuks is set

for his first meeting as a Smederna rider. Missing Laguta is always tough but last season he didn't do particular well in Motala

so perhaps Kjastas and the rest of the team can manage get away with a surprise win but imo that is not likely.

Piraterna to win with 50-40.

Rospiggarna – Vargarna

Rospiggarna

  1. Andreas Jonsson (K)
  2. Jonas Davidsson
  3. Chris Harris
  4. Mads Korneliussen
  5. Grzegorz Walasek
  6. Timo Lahti
  7. Kim Nilsson

Vargarna

  1. Martin Vaculik
  2. Artem Laguta Tomasz Gapinski
  3. Peter Kildemand (K)
  4. Daniel Davidsson R/R
  5. Adrian Miedzinski
  6. Ricky Kling
  7. Pontus Aspgren

Newcomers Rospiggarna are still undefeated after winning at home against Elit Vetlanda which they followed up with a win away

against Indianerna last week. Rospiggarna will meet Vargarna this week who won away against Piraterna in the first round

but lost narrowly at home against Dackarna last week. With Daniel Davidsson out and that Rospiggarna's fairly short track

is quit tricky I think Rospiggarna will take their third win. Both Vaculik and A. Laguta struggled at Vargarna's track last week

and Orionparken is similar, a short technical track.

Can .. not .. wait for this meeting. Thanks again for the preview GW.

Looking forward to some fine racing from a couple of impressive line-ups .. I have a feeling that I'll be saying that a lot about the Swedish league this term. :)

which riders can take Daniel Davidsson rides?

Rules say all riders with lower average+the rider with the closest higher average.

Daniel Davidsson's season entry average is 1.263 which means that Ricky Kling, Pontus Aspgren and Martin Vaculik can take the R/R heats. Either of Kling and Aspgren will have to take two R/R heats.

Great news that the TV argument has been put to bed and we can enjoy not only tonight's Indianerna-Vetlanda match but the whole Swedish season :t::drink::party:

They certainly have the possibility of an easy win on paper and one would expect them to win tonight but they haven't impressed in their two matches so far. Particularly surprising was their opening day loss to league new boys Rospiggarna. Jaroslaw Hampel had a super unbeaten evening in their win last time out at home against Smederna but perhaps the key to an easy win tonight will be if Emil Sayfutdinov races up to par after two pretty poor showings this season scoring 4 and 5 with only one race win out of eight rides!

Come on Emil treat us, gate last and come from behind to win like so many times before :)

Got to admit Vetlanda line-up looking like a speedway version of the all-star Harlem Globetrotters lol. Just wish the UK could get their speedway house in order, both Denmark and Sweden seem to have rejuvenated the sport in their countries and we all know abut the phenomenon which is Polish speedway.

Hi all,

May the Scandanavian weather gods smile upon us. I have my Ermolenkoish dictionary by my side, so let's go.

Afternoon, to be honest he gets such a beat down on these forums but he does have some good technical and riding insights but he simply is not cut out to be speak on tv (or radio one presumes), anyways the speedway is the most important thing. Even if it should turn out to be an easy win i'll be enjoying every moment of seeing most of these riders.

Jack`s just said-14 heats constitute a match-hope he doesn`t sign off before heat 15 nominated race

Maybe it because he started out calling the first race heat 2!

Gee blonde with the baby gave a right slightly prolonged Linda Blair glare when she spotted the TV camera focusing on her - Regan reincarnated or what! lol.

Jack seems to have done or been given research on riders which is great. Although he needs to be genned up a little more on Godlund as it's no surprise if he's slightly out of his depth, he hasn't really scored heavy in the Allsvenskan league as far as i can remember?

Is Jack psychic when he called the winner after 3 laps and did he try and do a good save after that lol.

But all these superstars don't improve the standard of racing but only promotions expenditure

But they do put "bums on seats". The last 2 Elite League meetings I have watched- Eastbourne on Saturday and Lakeside last night had pitiful attendances.
