Kings Lynn Stars V Poole Pirates Thursday 22nd May

Recommended Posts

Can see this being a really close contest. Heat Leaders will cancel each other out. A lot depends on Porsing and Lambert performing well. Kerr will be the match winner.

Lynn 47-43 Poole

However, it's looking likely that the rain will spoil the show!

Are you clairvoyant? Well done! :t:

Ridiculous how Kerr can be classed as a NL rider.

He isn't perhaps do your homework first?

I know but for some reason Lewis is in the draft.

Because he is the very rider being targeted.

Kerr qualified of right and as someone with very little experience prior is doing a superb job. We should be applauding the draft system for helping a few of the draft boys to make real progress instead of petty jealousies towards Kings Lynn for actually having signed the lad when not many would give him the time of day.

Instead of complaining about those teams who care about the future why not campaign your own club/team managers to sign up promising youngsters and ask for more NL standard racing if you care that much! (this post isn't aimed at just Gater1 but anyone who is whining about the system being unfair).

To answer a couple of points, listening to Rob Lyon on radio after meeting, Neils not in heat 15 cos he was battered and bruised and didn't feel up to it. Porsing and Lambert altho scored well were up against a different class of rider to Rory and Woffy, altho their time in heat 15s will come.

Found the radio excellent tonight. All riders names pronounced correctly, no umming or arrring. Well done Edwin and co. Very informative pit interviews, especially from Porsing about Poles mudguard.

I am not jealous I just cant see how Kerr is allowed in the draft with a PL average of 6.26

Adam Ellis, Joe Jacobs, Paul Starke, Ashley Morris, Kyle Newman, Jason Garrity, Simon Nielsen also have PL averages.

They have ALL been allowed in the draft because all warrant fast track experience.

well done King's Lynn on winning tonight esp with Bjerre and Rose missing.

Spot on mdmc .............. and especially so with NKI having a rare off night (hardly surprising with his recent racing commitments though) .............. Poole had a perfect opportunity to take 4 points tonight and failed!

Firstly hats off to Buster for turning a lost cause into a decent race track. Thought it rode well tonight although it could have done with more grading on the middle of the meeting, once again the racing line was right out wide by the fence towards the end.

Very pleased to win the meeting tonight, wet or relayed tracks often play into the hands of the away team and for our top two to only score ten and the team to still win is very pleasing. That said Poole were well worth their point so hats off to them, although they probably ought to have acheived more considering our issues.

For Lynn Puk never looked comfortable and although Tai & Darren rode their socks off they scored a fair bit below what Kenneth & Lewis R would have done, no doubt it'd have been a comfy three points with a full Lynn side. The other four rode superbly and more than did their jobs.

For Poole Magic was very good round Lynn as usual and Darcy was excellent apart from heat 13. Do wonder about him though, as with Saturday in Finland his demeanor was very negative and downbeat, hope it's just his knee problem and not that he is fed up with speedway. I thought Pawlicki, Josh G & Newman were fairly disappointing and Milik is an absolute nutjob, just glad he didn't cause any accidents tonight.

Will be interesting to see how we get on at the Dorset rollercoaster on Wednesday.

Listened tonight on bbc norfolk. Excellent production with 2 good presenters and great to get lots of reaction from the pits during the meeting. Be great to get more of that through the season. Love the voice of Edwin, think he did a fine job tonight. Wouldn't be the same for me if he isn't announcing/commentating at Lynn!

I think Iversen is a couple of weeks away from burn out. Before the meeting had even started he looked dead on his feet in the pits tonight, Woffy still off colour and after his 1st 2 rides Schlein just disappeared.

Kerr (My rider of the night) Lambert and Porsing were the match winners

Please Buster and Rob NEVER sign a Milik type, scary and so unpredictable!

Perhaps Darcy was in pain all night, I don't know how much pain you would get from an injury like his ......

Re the track, yeah Buster pulled it round after the downpour and go on him, just a shame he didn't keep abreast of all the material that he let build up on the outside, I prefer the way Huggy used to pull it all from the fence and spread over the track again, surely riders do get caught out when there is a ton of material waiting for them there.

Massive well done to LK who shut Milik down on the first turn in both goes at heat 14, loved it and thank god he did cos I wouldn't want to see the our Norfolk bois racing behind Mr Unpredictable for a whole race!

I'm pooped so just to say well done to the Stars, another 2 points that they can't take away :-)

Very strange meeting tonight - who'd have thought Lynn would have won the match with a heat to go with our supposed top two getting only 10pts between them!?!

Not often we get to ht15 and are worried about the outcome, and sure enough Poole got a deserved point.

Thankfully the rest of the team pulled us through especially Niklas Robert & Lewis, Niklas looking particularly impressive imo. Rory's good start helped too ofc but he went off as the track got worse.

Buster certainly did well to get a raceable track, but once the moisture seeped through from under it became somewhat patchy. Niels didn't seem to like it from the start though, and was very out of sorts.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the racing was tonight. Not top notch but perfectly watchable. All credit to Buster in turning a complete mess into something that looked like a speedway track. I think a lesser tracks man would have given it up as a bad job.

All credit to Poole tonight. They never jacked it in at any point and just wouldn't lie down. Well worth their point. Lynn had 4 riders performing and 2 under performing. Darren Mallet did what was expected of him.

I don't think anything much can be read into tonight's match as a form guide. Fair result.

Ridiculous how Kerr can be classed as a NL rider.

But they are PL reserves not like Kerr who is near enough a heat leader.

I never said Lewis Kerr was a NL rider stevebrum.

Check your quoted post above.

Garrity started the season 5th in the teams averages (like Kerr). Newman started 4th in his teams averages. Blackbird started 5th in his teams averages. Nielsen also started the season 5th in his teams averages.

so Kerr is one of 5 riders NOT starting the season as reserves.

Kerr is proving to be the pick of the bunch. Such is life.
