stevebrum
I hope your proved wrong and Darcy rides all the meetings, we need him!! Especially at Lakeside where he is fantastic. Proved wrong? I haven't said he WILL pick and choose meetings only that he shouldn't! Seeing he rode in Sweden yesterday and is lined up for Poole tonight means he is just going to push through the pain barrier. Fair play to him for honouring his contracts in all the leagues. But he did. He pulled out of the sec meeting to make sure he was fit for tge final gp. He missed the odd wolves meeting. Totally understandable and the sensible option. But no different to the Darcy case. Anyway im sure ward will ride tonight, and then poole can use a facility as required. Of course if the teams arent happy with him and his unavailability they can simply trrminate his contract. But if poole redeclare withoutvhim they will struggle to fithim bsck iinso much better to keep him and use guests ad needed He missed the odd meeting by not riding in ANY meeting between GP`s! As far as contracts go IF Darcy wasn't honouring his Poole commitments i would expect MF to re-declare and bring in a new number one as i wouldn't expect MF to accept a non committed number one. Either way it is irrelevant right now as Darcy is declared as riding. Edited May 21, 2014 by stevebrum
Shale Searcher
Rain warning issued by Met Office for South East corner of UK now for this afternoon/early evening, Poole is outside of the warning area, may get away with it after all now.... ABS
I hope your proved wrong and Darcy rides all the meetings, we need him!! Especially at Lakeside where he is fantastic. He may well be fantastic with two sound knees, but can't see him being up to his usual high standard around Lakeside with that injury. I seriously don't know how he can be riding with the injury he has. Never done a cruciate myself, but have had other knee injuries, which I undertsand are nothing when compared to cruciate injuries. Whatever decision Darcy makes is fine with me. Personally, if I was him, I'd get the op done now. He's young and there will be future chances in the GP, but I can understand that from now until the end of the season is the time when he earns his living and maybe it's the economical factors that will drive his decision. Best of luck tonight, either way.
TheSmiler
Will be interesting to see how Darcy goes tonight and if he pulls out after 1 race to allow immediate rider replacement. I'm gonna stick my neck out and go for a 45-45 draw, think Howarth will score well.
foreverblue
I think it should be a fairly easy victory for the pirates after probably going behind early on, i am hoping for a better showing from Hopwood, Kyle Newman has been riding well, Darcy is a worry as he only scored 7 last night but we have strength in depth so should be ok . SteveLyric2
NL riders can't move into the main body of the team right? Your point is what exactly??
stevebrum
A polish Speedway Updates site has J. Garrity in the main body of the Bees team for tonight's meeting against Poole. They must be wrong.
SCB
They've taken the team off the Coventry site and they list them in random order now so people can't make their own programme.
ballinger
The Bees team is listed on the Sportowefakty site in alphabetical order, as per the Bees press release. The Poole website has both sides 1-5 listed in alphabetical order. Sportowefakty have assumed Poole will line up like that tonight, and indeed they may. No such thing as 'can't'. Plenty of us are still managing.
Crazy robin
I really hope Darcy is listening to medical advice as from someone who is suffering after having an op on my knee it really ain't no fun.
mdmc82
Think Poole will win tonight as a couple of the bees riders have been struggling a bit at the moment. Darcy has been scoring well in GP & Poland so would expect him to do the same tonight.

I was going to ask how you were getting on............my shoulder op got cancelled at the last minute for various reasons (could have been avoided if they had talked to me about the cause of the cancellation in the first place) but its now being fast tracked and should be in the next few weeks........... g13webb
I heard it said that Darcy replied to the question of his leg surgery, he would only have it done once winning the World Champs was out of the question. Does this mean, he feels he's in with a shout, or is he just helping Poole out before going for his operation ??
Pirate Nick
I think he meant that if he has no mathematical chance of winning the series.
