Steve0
It's not the GP thats the issue. Its the fact he has been riding for Poland when Poole are declaring him injured. If too injured to ride for Poole then surely shouldn't be riding in other leagues He was/is injured! Poole signed Noddy for a fixed time period so Darcy couldn't come back even if he wanted to! My concern is that his Polish club are forcing him to ride and risk him doing long term damage. Edited May 19, 2014 by Steve0
SteveLyric2
I wonder if Darcy has got to ride in the UK to satisfy his UK visa requirements? Nail on head there I think!!!
LagutaRacingFan
Darcy rides where he wants and when he wants. He's Mr Speedway
scottyfan
With Darcy maybe a narrow home win. Without Darcy easy win for Coventry.
mdmc82
Darcy will be riding, no way will poole use 3pt rider instead. Think the weather could win this one
Jacques
With Darcy maybe a narrow home win. Without Darcy easy win for Coventry. Really! The way some our team are riding, I wouldn't be surprised if you still beat us with a 3 pointer!

Remember Scottyfan, with a team consisting of the top 7 in the world, would think Scunthorpes national league side could run them close at home.....

Agrotron
Get a grip. I bet you get an erection at the thought of Poole using a 3 pointer for Ward. Speedway shouldn't be decided by burecratic rules; If Ward rides in Sweden and scores well and then misses Poole then you have a case. Lol the bloke has a serious boner over anything Poole
semion
Darcy with his Cruciate problem will maybe look to struggle on until the end of the season, but it can give way on him at anytime. He can struggle on and try and pick his way through the season, but he must know in his head every time he puts that foot down when On a Speedway bike he risks it giving out on him. If Middlo and Ford want to do the best thing by him then they should release him from his UK committments and go out and bring somelike like KK, or The Grin in. They have the contacts , they have the money, so what is stopping them ?

home straight
While, personally I want to see Darcy back and will be disappointed if he chooses to ride elsewhere but not in England, anyone using the "if he's fit to ride there he's fit to ride here" line is daft. The injury he has is not as simple as that. He may be able to ride to a point but perhaps not to full capacity. This county has a hectic schedule and it may deemed that riding one or two meetings a week on the continent plus the occasional GP is manageable, whereas doubling that workload by riding here too, isn't. Poole ride on the 21st 22nd 24th 26th and 28th of this month with 3 away from home so if he doesnt ride then can see Poole struggling
home straight
not sure anyone is saying that. Really? But if he is going to continue riding then he must honour all his clubs commitments Why should Ward not ride? Never get how a rider is fit enough for personal glory not team stuff. If he is fit to ride in Poland /Sweden then there is no excuse to not ride for Poole. hmmmmm What's the matter brum? Something in your eye? You don't want Darcy missing meetings for Poole but any else that says so is daft. Cant say i`m surprised.

I agree with that. But the rules don't allow a facility for that. And as Shovvy was so against Lukas Dryml riding in the Under 21s and GP qualifiers in 2001 while injured and Oxford using guests for him I'm sure he'd agree that it should not be allowed. Absolutely, I'm not suggesting Poole should be granted facilities to cover for him, but anyone who thinks that if he rides elsewhere then he's automatically fit to ride here is wrong..... Its just the taste of your post, little hard to swallow as per. You don't want Darcy missing meetings for Poole but any else that says so is daft. Cant say i`m surprised. That's not exactly what I said though was it? We can all make rubbish up mate. I said "I'd be disappointed if he chooses to ride elsewhere but not here" which I would be, he's arguably the most exciting rider in the world right now, obviously I'd be disappointed if he can't/chooses not to ride here. Note: I didn't say "I'd be disappointed in him" or "I think he's letting Poole down" or "I'd think less of him". The fact MAY be that his injury dictates he has to cut down on his schedule, which would mean fulfilling some, but not all of his commitments. If he chooses Poland/Sweden/GPs then so be it, it would be disappointing, but understandable. I then went on to say that "anyone who states that if he's fit enough to ride elsewhere then he's fit enough to ride here, is daft" because that's a daft statement to make. It categorically is NOT the same as saying "anyone who doesn't want Darcy Ward to miss meetings here is daft" I hope this clears things up Steve

My argument is if he rides in the gp and doesnt fulfill team commitments in whatever country then he is after personal rather then team gain. Also if he rides eleswhere and not for Poole then surely the pirates are bottom of his priorities or is he simply riding where the best wage packet will be? And to be fair cant blame him for that. I just know if my best rider was riding everywhere apart from my team id fell pretty cheated to be honest
